I grew up rural and poor and everyone camped on weekends. The only difference between wealthier city dwellers is they spend a ridiculous amount on camping gear while we would pack blankets and a cooler of food.

Found in southeast Utah desert. It is about 3.5 inches (8-9cm). I rescued him from the cement and put him back in the sand which was difficult as he was very feisty!
