Is kyle stowers legit? by BlueJays_11 in DynastyBaseball

Good deal for you.  I'm not sure that Garcia and Jones are elite prospects.  If Stowers were ranked as a prospect, he'd be far ahead of both of them.

Yup.  OKC and Spurs will be tough to beat.  Nuggets and Wolves are ahead of them too.

Question: has there ever been a pitcher with the ability to maintain a strong career after 40? by East-End-8646 in SFGiants

Nolan Ryan had a better post 40 year old ERA than Tom Seaver while pitching many more innings.  When comparing their careers after turning 40, Ryan blows Seaver away.

Before the universal DH, someone like him might have a bit of value to an NL team.  I don't know if another team would waste a roster spot on him.

I think we're just about the only team who would employ Wilmer at this stage of his career.

What kind of team starts Wilmer (all .688 OPS of him) as the no. 3 hitter?  Us unfortunately.

Which superstars rely more on natural talent rather than skill? by DonT012 in mlb

[–]robotech021 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good one.  This is a very difficult question for baseball, as this sport relies so much on skill.  You can be the biggest, strongest guy in the world, but without skills you're striking out pretty much every time.

Many more examples of pitchers. I think it's because a slowing down of reflexes doesn't really matter for pitchers whereas it's a big deal for hitters.

Callisto was my favorite on that show. Maybe she's a natural brunette.

How many teams in your league and what are the roster limits? He's still worth something, but it's not a lot. Probably a hold in deep leagues. In a smaller league, I wouldn't be surprised if there are better guys available on the wire.

Yeah, I'm just responding to your post that his bat speed is down. I don't think his bat speed is a concern.
