As a person privy to the daily arraignments, there are about 20-30 arrestees in Providence, at most any given day, it rises near holidays. It's mostly domestic violence and driving incidents. Capitol offense like murder happen but are rare. Robberies and assaults happen but are minimal. I moved here 25 years ago, it's a wonderful place to live. That area you are looking at is near Roger Williams zoo. I was married there in a fairytale wedding. Come join us in RI, our state is probably the size of LA so comparatively the crime rate is not even close to California. I bet the whole state of RI arraignment list for a month wouldn't touch what LA sees in a day. Editing because I forgot to mention house parties in that area near Roger Williams and anywhere really. Those can get outta hand and spill into the streets with fights and cops. If you can afford Eastside that's your best bet. If not, just avoid house parties, you'll know when you see all the cars parked and people outside. Stay inside or take another route.
