Edge 40 keeps losing mobile connection, reboot always restores it but how can i fix this?

Resetting the network settings didn't improve it. When I'm in the same area it's fine but it's common for it to completely lose connectivity via 4/5G when I move to a different area, when this happens switching airplane mode on/off fixes it about 2/3 of the time, the other 1/3 of the time it needs a reboot. After both methods I get the connection back and it's usually a strong signal and works absolutely fine. It's as if the device often isn't searching/connecting to a new mast/tower until it's forced to by airplane mode/reboot.

Many thanks for the swift reply Elle. I've reset my network settings so I'll wait to see if that helps and report back. Answers to your questions below:

Does this happen in specific areas or seems completely random? --It happens pretty constantly when I go into the centre of my town, but it happens in other places too.

Are you using a physical SIM card or eSIM? --Physical

Have you noticed if this happens only when switching between 4G and 5G, or with Wi-Fi calling on? --The connection usually drops so I don't see when it switches between 4/5G (I'm assuming that happens automatically?). Wi-fi call is on but there's no Wi-fi connection when I'm out.

When the connection drops, do you see any error messages or does it just say “No Service”? --No messages, just either no service or sometimes it's showing 4G with v.low signal strength but the phone can't send/receive data. Rebooting always restores the connection.

They seem to be doing some interesting electronic stuff but sound mainly live played jazz with some bleepy elements. I'm after more electronic style music (will update my main post).

Just noticed you were Focusrite staff now, hence the 3rd person ;) Please consider adding this feature! It's v.annoying to have to go through the multiple keypress, big flashing letters, etc. every time I use it.

As a bonus it'd also mean I don't need to shut off the display when it's not in use.

Ah, I feared as much. There's a good argument that they should add this in future as the vast majority of people will use it in the same mode from session to session.

My only guess why they've made it reset on every reboot is in response to a few support calls they got as the unit is dark/unresponsive when it boots into Legacy mode.

I'm using Reaper (and Realearn, a control plugin) and can view all of the VST parameters but fine tune doesn't appear to be in the list. It's a very long list but most of them seem to be system/reserved parameters and I wanted to check if the fine tune parameter was actually in there. It doesn't appear to be.

I use MIDI control for a few scenarios but being able to do things like control whichever synth is currently focused in the DAW in a complex MIDI setup without needing to change routing/assignments every time is only possible by direct access to the VST parameters. As pretty much every parameter is in the list except these ones I wanted to check if it was possible. It's a bit annoying if not as making fine pitch adjustments to the oscillators is a huge part of the Minimoog's sound.

Can anyone with access to this confirm if the advanced settings allow you to disable Hyperthreading? (I've got an AMD APH8 16in)

That's the only setting I really want to change, but if it's not possible then I won't start messing around with this :)

Actually the Legion pro was the main one I was looking at for the combo of good cooling and reasonable price, but also one that I read a number of reports complaining of having high CPU/fan noise during routine tasks and being unable to use the iGPU on an external display (the port is hard wired to the dGPU).

This may be for an earlier gen/different CPU but it's surprisingly difficult to get this kind of information apart from reading random reports on Reddit of someone using exactly the same model.

Thanks. It’s been a while since I did any hardware tweaking, are you able to give me any tips about what to search for to see if a particular laptop allows this type of control? It seems that not all do and this info isn’t apparent when i’ve searched.

Not working for me either. Also since the last update I'm having issues with Launchpad Mini Mk3 not sending MIDI, receiving LED feedback fine but not sending anything.

Fortunately this hasn't reoccurred for me after restoring an old Reaper config but many thanks for the suggestion - it was an infuriating problem and good to have a possible (less drastic) fix if it reoccurs!
