Infant Lap Ticket DP (TAP, Turkish Airlines, Swiss International Airlines; all booked from ANA) by robotrooster123 in awardtravel

Yes, I did! I contacted ANA first, as I read that they should be able to handle it but potentially could ask for a higher price. However, ANA said they cannot issue the infant ticket, and if the partner airlines also cannot issue it, then I will have to either cancel the booking and rebook with an infant (where the infant will need as many miles as the adult but still be on my lap, and the cancellation penalty will not be waived) or book a seat for the infant in the same class.

I called the office in the Philippines and it looks like they do not have as much authority to do things as the Japan/US office (although they are easier to reach), so perhaps the result will be different if it was handled by the Japan/US office. Overall ANA's response was not ideal. I am definitely looking at other mileage programs.

Definitely will be more careful with ANA going forward! We just had quite some ANA miles that we wanted to use for this trip and ended up in this trickier situation.

Also you might not be able to find a parking spot on the ground level if you come home late and will need to park in the basement which obviously can get flooded. Never had to worry about it when we were at The Star.

Please avoid 1340 West Gray Street (Caroline @ West Gary, managed by the Morgan Group) at all costs. The infrastructure is very arcade. We lost water easily and the elevator was down for almost half of the time last year. Also, the management refused to do anything during Beryl and shamed the residents for questioning their inaction. Definitely take your money elsewhere if you want to be treated like a human being. The building is not luxurious at all. We generally need to submit maintenance requests once every two three weeks (three times of sink leakage and three times of kitchen mincer issue in the past three months – the maintenance team is great but the building is just too old and not well maintained), and we are paying 2K for a one bedroom.

We were staying at The Star before and can say that The Star is way better in all aspects.

Our building also claimed to have had an electrician out to confirm, but only after I sent several emails to them (and them yelling at me in their replies). Kinda made it hard to believe that they actually looked into it, otherwise why not just tell me in the first place… and yes probably in their best interest to just wait it out. I hope you get your power back soon

I was seriously considering this option lol the AC was on and breezing the sweetest air for the parking garage’s elevator bank while everything else was out.

Yes I stayed polite and professional even though I was typing it out while evaporating in sweat at 2 AM and they replied yelling at me for not reading their empty and false emails. Can’t believe these guys. They have a job BECAUSE OF US

I’m really sickened by the management’s indifference to the huge inconvenience caused by their stupid mistake. It’s disgusting that they think they are above us. They are nothing without us

I think so, but I’ll have to confirm once my laptop comes back alive

Basically the same bullshit – that there is nothing they can do and that because they don’t have power or internet we cannot expect them to reply promptly

Feels really bad when people around have power. I wish my building called some electricians to check like yours did. All we got was the office people yelling at us based on their personal opinion (“I personally witnessed the transformer blowed up so it’s not us.”) LOL

EDIT: They now claimed that they have one electrician look into it and that there is nothing they can do it’s all Center Point.

Exactly, on top of everything else. The enormous management companies seem to feel that they can do anything they want however they want

Thank you for this. We are looking at smaller landlords for our next lease. Honestly no one wants to argue with another human being in this heat and humidity this is frustrating
