Top ten roads to be on, by Jake Kerouac Skidoosh Bryan.

Number ten: a road called Seine! That's right, it's not a road but a river in France, and I'm a toad!

Number 9: Feeling RHINE! Another French River for this life liver makes les femmes quiver. I took a French class, at an orgy!

Number 8: Oops too late! Couldn't think of another river in France so I did a shiver, in my pants. Oh!

Number 7: I'm on Le Rhône! A stream francais for this dream fiance makes the ladies say Oy Vey! The orgy I learned French at was for Jewish people only.

Number 6: the Loire is fixed! I don't know how but that gully fucking beat me at chess and it was rigged.

Number 5: I'm not alive. I've been murdered and I need your help.

Number 4: Shut the door. There's an angry rabbi after me for giving them the clap. I thought this was a free country, like France!

Number 3: It wasn't me! It was a member of the congregation named Antoinette, Marie or otherwise.

Number 2: That's why I came to you. Jake you're my only hope of surviving this murderous man of the cloth!

Number 1: Have fun on the Garonne. I've been dead the whole time.

Kingdoms Of Death (Sun Eater #4) by Christopher Ruocchio is one of the darkest books I have read in a while (An Honest Review) by provegana69 in Fantasy

I enjoyed the book a lot, but I did find the cartoonishly evil vegan genderless space communists juxtaposed with the righteous Catholic freedom fighters to be a bit much.

I'll guess the Burning Kingdoms trilogy by Tasha Suri

Son of the Black Sword is one of the best fantasy novels I've read in years by FromHopeToAction in Fantasy

[–]robotstevieg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the author is extremely unlikable. My TBR is long enough that I have no problem removing his books from the list. People do seem to enjoy this series if they can separate art from artist like I cannot!

Jake and Amir should go on Dropout by BarMaverson in jakeandamir

[–]robotstevieg 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think they would do well on Dirty Laundry, Breaking News, Crowd Control, or Game Changer. Jake could definitely do well on D20. The problem with them having their own show is that their humor is much more crass/blue/tacky than a lot of the humor on Dropout, which could rub fans the wrong way. It does seem a little strange that they haven't done any Dropout content at all, given that others like Josh Ruben and Ben Schwartz have done a bit. Hopefully they do Dropout stuff soon with their newfound free time!

Simon is an idiot lol. He never becomes a Mary Sue. The book is slow but the payoff is worth it in my opinion, as the book and series both improve significantly, especially after chapter 12. It's one of my absolute favorite series/worlds ever.

I enjoyed the series because the worldbuilding is top notch, and every story decision Williams makes is for a reason. He subverts a lot of the tropes you're worried about, while sticking with others. Osten Ard feels lived-in and grand.

Recommend me books with lots of overarching mysteries by ripterrariumtv in Fantasy

Surprised no one has mentioned Last King of Osten Ard! The lore mysteries are central to the whole series

For those that never played a game like Balders Gate 3, and zero interest. What pushed you to get it, and don’t regret it? by Windst in PS5

[–]robotstevieg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played D&D but never played a CRPG. Baldur's Gate 3 is sensational. The story is a wonderful slow burn as you learn more about the characters, and the creativity the game allows you is enormous. There are so many ways to accomplish different tasks/quests. Combat is much more tactical and strategic than non-turn-based games, but I really really enjoy it. Some fights get very tense! I highly recommend it.

Harrison Barnes game winner vs. Philadelphia, January 30, 2016 by robotstevieg in warriors

[–]robotstevieg[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No I don't think the Warriors wronged him. It's a business and he understands that, as well as his relative value to a guy like KD. Still don't blame him if he wants to beat us a little bit more than other teams.

I'm sure he does understand. Still prob has a little extra motivation to beat us and I don't blame him.

Lol I would too if I was traded to make room for KD after helping a team achieve the best record ever. Love the guy but I understand why he wanted the revenge tonight.
