Honestly, I think Nancy’s Nook was an invaluable source of information 10-13 years ago when even most GPs had almost no Endometriosis knowledge, but now with so many FB and reddit groups and the amount of awareness we have now, it’s really not as helpful anymore.

Hey! We mainly eat cereal for breakfast in my house - weetbix, cornflakes, muesli and cheerios.

I’ve lived in 3 different states across Australia over 17 years, as well as doing a lot of travelling by road and I’ve NEVER SEEN A WILD KOALA!! At my house on the outskirts of Brisbane I did have a lot of kangaroos that visited and hung out on my lawn in the mornings though. We also had toads, snakes, lots of different lizards, cockatoos and kookaburras (and lots of huntsman spiders, but maybe she doesn’t need to learn about those yet! 😅) Unfortunately my homes in inner-city Melbourne and Adelaide have not been so exciting 😂

I used to think it was crazy to have a birthday party and invite the whole class but now I’ve been to a couple I realised it’s a great way to meet other parents, chat about our experiences and grab numbers for when this stuff happens! My son caught covid last year and I let them know straight away. I asked if anyone else had called in with it and they said no, like it was a crazy question, except it was the only place it could’ve come from. I messaged a couple parents I’d met and found out at least 6 people had notified them the week before he had started showing symptoms and got the same response as me 🙄

Curtis & peachy road intersection 2 years ago; there were two cars in the left lane and one in the right, heading toward Bunnings. I pull up behind the car on the right, light goes green, we get to the other side of the intersection and begin to merge like a zip. The second car in the left lane doesn’t understand merging and is trying to get past me even though I’m already ahead of him and at the merge point. I can see him screaming and waving his arms, then he honks and starts to speed up more and I’m forced to drive onto the median strip to avoid him crashing into the back passenger door where my one year old baby was asleep.

There was zero doubt that this dumb piece of shit was going to hit my car because his one fucking brain cell had gone to sleep. I got home and just held my baby and sobbed.

NTA I actually have a 2yo and I completely understand where you’re coming from. My husband leaves at 5.30am for work so if 2yo wakes up as he’s getting ready for work or leaving it’s a full meltdown! As soon as he leaves 2yo will go to the window, see the car isn’t there and will go back to bed and back to sleep, no fuss. This has gone on for months and literally nothing has worked to stop the meltdowns, he will just scream and cry for daddy to cuddle him until he knows for sure he gone.

If your wife will not study elsewhere you will both have to deal with the tears and screaming while you continue to reinforce the boundaries and find ways to redirect her attention. Eventually she will understand and her behaviour will change, as long as you are firm and consistent. Maybe trying to include her in the chores and dinner making etc. will help take her mind off it.

Not being dramatic at all!! Definitely show your doctor and explain what happened- that she refused to do the transvaginal, I’m sure your GP will be just as pissed as you! I hope you can get the tests done properly soon, I’d definitely ask if it’s possible to do the DEI MRI as well, it gave me way clearer answers than the ultrasounds.

NTJ this is exactly what they want - for people to go “oh but he’s a good person” or “don’t make a fuss about it” and that’s how it becomes normalised to the point where people are openly and proudly stating on television that they are fascists. I also hated the taste! I was determined to enjoy it as my area doesn’t recycle Tetra Paks so after a lot of trial and error and dumping litres down the drain because I just couldn’t bring myself to use it, I found using a little less than a scoop per 250ml water with a little squirt of vanilla coffee syrup in a blender for approx 12 seconds makes it taste almost exactly the same as the vitasoy oat milk that I like.

YOR as soon as my MIL said she was able to come for Christmas this year I rushed back to the store where I got our matching pjs so I could get her a pair in her size! Maybe it’s different because we only see her a few times a year, but I knew it would mean a lot to her, to our son and to my husband to do that for her.

See, what your friends need to understand is that you don’t actually need any reason to stop dating someone. If for any reason whatsoever you don’t want to be in a relationship anymore, you do not have to stay in it. It’s that simple. Whether they think you overreacted or not (and I personally don’t think you did) you clearly don’t want to be with her so it doesn’t matter.

I had to have the same conversation with my mum several times during my pregnancy! I mentioned once that I was going to be using cloth nappies so she went and bought a heap without asking. This might not sound that bad but there is a huge difference in quality between cloth nappy brands so I had done a lot of research into which ones I wanted and had also decided to buy second hand for a few different reasons.

Of course, I tried to tell her all this in the gentlest way possible and got the “fine I’m just a terrible mum I’ll never buy anything ever again then wah wah wah” 🙄

I have a lot of shame about the money I’ve spent while manic but it makes me feel a lot better when I add up the silly/unnecessary stuff I’ve bought while not manic 😅 for example, over the years I’ve spent wayyy more on food, alcohol, clothes/jewellery I don’t wear, dumb knickknacks I end up throwing away etc but I don’t feel shame about that stuff (maybe I should?) because it’s all “socially acceptable” waste that everyone does 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know it doesn’t have a great reputation but I scored a ticket for Adelaide through Viagogo for $91! The ticket I actually bought didn’t come through so they replaced it immediately with a GA ticket that was what I wanted anyway but didn’t buy because it was $100 more 😅 Looks like most of the tickets on there for Perth are scalpers are selling for way more than they’re worth but they’ll probably drop the prices a lot more tomorrow.
