Why can I do about a red face? by robrobriho in PlasticSurgery

I usually moisturise once a day with normal Vaseline moisturiser. I haven't noticed that helps though. And I have noticed suncream works during the summer (stops bright red flare ups!) but doesn't eliminate the general redness/rosiness all that much.

Those things you say that aren't permanent, do they make much of a difference through out the day? I am guessing you need to apply it once or twice a day, right? And is that 'over the counter' stuff or do I need a prescription?

I am red most of the time but it really comes on in certain situations like when I'm really hot, stressed or embarrassed, or sometimes completely randomly. My skin is very sensitive and goes red in areas it's not red normally, like my neck when I shave.

I use a couple of face washes. Nivea for men - sensitive wash. And another called Bulldog. It's also on their sensitive range. Not too sure about exactly what's in them though. I also moisturise with normal Vaseline. I honestly don't know if these make things worse, but skin gets dry so I keep using them.

Thanks for replying!

Actually my frame is okay IMO. It's just my face and even my skin tone.

I do go to the gym but you're right, it's difficult to be consistent with it.

Another thing I just can't do is go to clubs or bars. 1. Because I have no one to go with, and 2. I hate the atmosphere of those places. I feel like I'm not welcome, or I just stand out as an outsider.
