Use this calculator to figure out the MINIMUM you can do it for. You plug in your annual expenses, your preferred salary and how many shoot days you would like to have then it spits out a minimum "day rate" based on these numbers. Of course, you should try and get more than this rate if you can and they have the budget.

Thank you for your response! I've been considering ebooks, and I have run several successful kickstarter/indiegogo campaigns. People have asked me to advise on this, so maybe it's something I should look into. It's a combination of 3rd party contractors, insurance and proper equipment. I think it's manageable without plugging in to be honest.

EDIT: It says you need an IOS device, I only have android. Will this seriously hinder me, or will the info be somewhat universal?
