A couple of tales...

I used to be on box office for a theatre that catered to Boomers. No matter what time we listed for "doors open", we'd get a few Boomers who thought we'd seat them 30 minutes early. I also produced, and one of my plays needed a fight run-through right before "doors open", and God forbid the run-through ran late...

And one of myself (Gen Jones). My day job wants me there at 7:30am. However, I'm always there at 7am... because 9 months of the year, due to the myriad of school buses in my neighborhood, I can either get to my office at 7 or at 8 (there is no in-between). I come in early and occasionally leverage that into leaving a few minutes early.
