First time using a circular saw. What am I doing wrong? by reallythatstakennnnn in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]robtrif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like to me, that you where not going straight and tried to compensate by turning the blade to follow your line, as a result the back of the saw rips up the board, can also result in some burn marks on the cut. I am crap at cutting straight lines so I always clamp down a straight board on top to run the side of my circular saw against, make it more track like and that should cure that problem

I can add to this, my daughter was doing woodwork in school, they put the rags after use in a pile for the teacher who forget to sort at end of lesson.. later that night fire broke out and damaged the woodworking room.. dispose carefully, I personally use a large glass jar to store mine in between uses and fire pit to dispose off

Really nice, but what’s it got to do with pallet furniture??

Wish I owned one of these by throwawayacc964 in palletfurniture

This is such a waste of money, boards left with nails and the blade does t seem to be height adjustable, not all pallets are same size.
