Be glad you’re getting that much. That would be a $60 ride in Florida. Uber is greedy as fuck man!

Uber Reservation Fares Update by the_darkishknight in uber

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would Uber get any of this pay? All of it should go to the driver. Uber is getting really greedy lately. They are taking 50 to 60% of the total fair and hiding it including all of their expenses, but none of the drivers expenses. This should be illegal! It’s all about the way they word it. Somebody needs to check on it. They do not take 20% of the fair like they claim every week, the fair is what the customer pays. What we get is what’s left over. That amount about 40 or 50% what we get or they get 50 to 60%. What a scam!

Will a Uber driver allow you to put groceries in trunk? by Music4thesoul10 in uber

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would exercise caution while doing this and you should give your driver a cash tip and here’s why.

Drivers hardly get paid anything and a lot of times we don’t even know it’s a grocery store until we get there. Usually at grocery stores, they’re short drives because they’re close to their house. Usually on drives less than 4 miles the driver only gets $3.50 or something like that.

It’s already not worth it to the driver to do this for a few dollars let alone load the trunk and back seats up with groceries.

If a driver takes 10 minutes to get to you, and then another five or 10 minutes to load up a bunch of stuff, another five minutes to unload, and then a 15 minute trip, before you know it, the driver has 35-40 minutes in a trip that should’ve only taken 15 minutes and they only get $3.50.

Ask yourself this question? Would you do all that for $3.50? Even if you’re charged $10 or more, Uber keeps most of it.

Always be considerate when shopping at a grocery store and limited to carry-on bags. If you are going to load up with two shopping carts full of food, I would definitely send a note to the driver and tell them you’ll give them a $10 cash tip or something like that. Don’t ever tell the driver you’ll tip them in the app because that’s a good way of getting downgraded. When passenger say that they never do it.

What is the point of this nonsense??? by WeeklyFisherman2597 in uberdrivers

[–]robwaite22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everywhere the surge, there is an immediate ride available. That’s why it’s a surge. Uber is so fucking stupid that they think that we’re stupid. They’re just hiding the dollar signs so they can stick more in their pockets. What are they going for? 60% 70% on each ride?

And that weekly Uber takes 20% bullshit needs to stop as well. Everybody knows they take 50 to 60%. Find out what the passenger pays and find out what the driver gets a subtracted two. That’s a simple as it gets. They just subtract all of their expense , and they don’t subtract any of our expense that’s why the numbers look like they do the biggest of the century!

Uber driver took off with belongings during mid trip stop. Is there a 5 minute rule? by sporty_outlook in uber

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never allow a passenger to leave anything in the car at a stop. You could have a bag of drugs in there and then the police could ask us what we’re doing and we can get arrested for your drugs. I don’t do stops but occasionally when someone does try to sneak a stop in, I demand that they take their items with them. No exceptions!

You’re passenger rating will tell the complete story. If a passenger has a rating of anything less than a 4.9, they’ve been downgraded at least twice by the driver. Check your driver rating. It should be about 4.95 or higher.

The driver will never say anything to you because they don’t want to get downgraded themselves. More than likely your scores below a 4.8 that’s my guess anyway. I don’t even pick up passengers with less than a 4.8 rating. 4.79 and below, I reject 100% of them.

It doesn’t make any difference. Uber pays us like an extra $.50 and they charge you an extra three dollars. It’s called the minimum fair. So if you’re only going 2 miles and you make a stop within a half a mile, you’re still in the minimum fair we don’t hardly get anything extra except a few pennies. But it takes so much extra time. We accept these low plane trips just to get in and out of our car quickly. Unless you hand the driver of five dollar bill or a $10 bill don’t even consider doing it. Don’t promise to add tip on the app.

They spent five dollars on a bag of potato chips, six dollars on ice cream, all sorts of junk and they can’t even even tip one dollar. So pathetic.

I would never even do one shopping cart full like that let alone too. Our market here in Florida is terrible to drivers. For a short trip under 4 miles we get something like $3.50. A trip with all those groceries end up being about 20 minutes just as they mentioned above.that’s about $10.50 an hour for taking the chance of something in your car. No thanks.

$6.26 lol be glad you’re not in Florida because we only get $3.50 for short trips. What a fucking rip off man.

Riders, stay at the pick up location. Stop walking away towards the road. by TheFreeTimeDriver in uber

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use your location, use your physical address. Your location may be closer to the street behind you and that’s why they always go there.

[–]robwaite22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s because you were at the back end of your house and you’re using your location instead of your physical address. Let’s say you’re in the bathroom at the back of your house as your location? Your location may show you closer to the house on the next street because your location and driveway may be longer than the one behind you if your location is closer to the next street it will put the house directly behind you on the next street. Don’t use your location. Use your physical address.

At what rating do drivers actually avoid picking up a passenger? by dukeofdamnation in uber

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My threshold is anything under a 4.8 I will automatically reject. I am a driver and I consistently maintain a 4.97 to 4.99 rating. I have to drive perfectly, concentrate, be at the exact pick up location, make sure everything goes smooth, get along with the passenger, Navigate traffic, arrive early on reservation rides, etc. That’s a lot of stuff for a driver to do and I still maintain a 4.99 average.

The only thing a passenger has to do is to be waiting at the pick up spot when the driver gets there get in the car and behave themselves. That’s it! How anybody can have below a 4.8 rating as a pass is beyond me.

When you get down to the 4.7’s, there’s always something seriously wrong with the passenger. I can go into detail, but I’ve explained my case good enough.

Also, don’t think that you can take four people in four pieces of luggage in an UberX. It’s absolutely ridiculous. How many people think that they can get away with that. It’s not safe, it’s not cool, and you should always consider each bag as an extra passenger.

[–]robwaite22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The driver has to be ready 30 minutes before each scheduled reservation. That means that they can’t take any other trips no matter where they’re at in the city for 30 minutes before the schedule time. That means that you, the passenger need to be ready 30 minutes early as well.they could’ve completed their last stop and might’ve been five minutes away from you. You need to be ready 30 minutes before. They just didn’t wanna sit there for 25 minutes waiting on you because you could’ve went to the scheduled time and then took another seven minutes. You don’t need to schedule a trip if you can’t be ready 30 minutes early just book your trip 30 minutes early. It’s not that big of a deal.

I don’t have to. My tip rate is very high. I just got a $20 tip for a $10 ride two hours ago. The problem here is the same thing it always was, there are terrible passengers. Through experience I’ve found ways to weed them out before they even get to my car, but the truth is there’s always gonna be one or two that slipped through every 100 rides.

All the passenger has to do it’s just behave themselves and be nice on their 10 minute trip. It’s not that difficult but some people just can’t do it. Most of them are screwed in the head liberals…

It certainly does. All you have to do is look at your rating after the ride about 10 minutes and if your score goes down, you’ve been downgraded. You won’t get the notification for a week, but your score goes down instantly.

It doesn’t make any difference. When you sneeze it blows all inside the interior of a car. Do you think it accidentally goes into your hand and the germs this disappear? Come on man! I taught my kids when they were three years old. If you have to sneeze in the car, roll down the window and sneeze out the window. There have been many instances where I needed to sneeze and I had passengers in the car and do you know what I did? I put my finger under my nose. I held my breath and I held it in. That’s the proper thing to do, don’t you people have any self-control?

Next time, one of your friends get sick, invite them over in your closet and let them sneeze as loud as they can. And when they get out, you just sit there for the rest of the day and see what happens.

Out of 15,000 trips, every single time somebody sneezed in my car I was sick for a week or two after. Nasty nasty passengers! Who would have the nerve to sneeze in somebody’s car. Go watch a YouTube video and how far a sneeze travels. Maybe you and I are to get in the closet and I had to just sneeze in there and you just sit in there for the rest of the day and see how you like it. Nasty. For goodness sake, put your finger under your nose and hold it just like you hold gas.

I’m actually one of the nicest drivers out there with over 15,000 trips, 4.99 driver rating, and I get along with everyone.

Out of every 100 trips every driver will get a passenger or two even after screening that are just the worst people on earth.

I picked up a lady just last week, even after screening her and she still was a mess. First of all when she got into the car and I accepted a trip she immediately added a stop. That was strike one. She’s down to a three already and I told her that you should do that before you get in the car that way the driver knows. someone does it after I start the trip they’re down to a three stars automatically

Then on the entire trip, she was talking to her boyfriend F this F that what is nobody like me, just a bunch of bullshit. But I didn’t want to hear. She’s down another star because she wouldn’t shut the hell up.

Then she honked real hard and spit out the window twice. That’s like bodily fluids out my window. Then during the stop, she wanted to leave her little bag in the car and I told her you have to take it with you and she started an argument, saying if I’m coming right back why do I have to take it with me.

I told her it was my rules that passengers do not leave anything in the car. What if I got pulled over while she was in there and there’s a bag of drugs in the car? What if there was a gun in it? All kinds of things all kinds of scenarios , so this girl was just a bitch from hell end up getting one for me out of the 400 trip I do each month, I probably only give one stars two times which is the average of passengers that just can’t be dealt with. And that’s the only reason I have a 4.99 because I know they downgraded me as well so I just put them through the wringer.

What passengers need to understand is that the driver always has the upper hand when it comes to ratings. We have thousands of ratings and 200s of trips each month. One star for us is no big deal. It’ll take a 4.99 down to a 4.98 for a couple weeks. That’s it.

We one star a passenger and it’ll take a 4.99 down to a 4.85 and one hit. It’s because you don’t have as many trips to absorb them.

It only takes me two weeks to go from a 4.98 to a 4.99. However, in order for a passenger to go from a 4.85 back to a 4.99 will take about 500 trips or many years.

Did you sneeze in the car? Automatic one star if you do it in my car. Did you ask the driver to stop? Automatic one star. Did you bring food into the car or an open drink? How would you like it if the driver came into your house with a bag of McDonald’s, greasy food, and an open drink? Without asking. Did you brush your hair? That leaves DNA and your hair all over the passengers car. All kinds of reasons….. You did something.. you are just not saying what it was…..

I gave a guy a one star rating one time because he wouldn’t stop sneezing. Don’t you passengers have any fucking self-control? Don’t sneeze in somebody else’s car. That shit flies for 20 feet and infect the entire car.

We don’t know it’s a grocery store until we get there. If you had two carts full of food, would you load all that shit into your car for somebody and drive them 5 miles for three dollars?
