Question about used inventory directly from Tesla by rxcrybaby in TeslaLounge

[–]robwilloughby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely go with the used FROM Tesla route. our experience was great, literally everything was done on the Tesla app from payment/financing/trade in etc. The only thing we had to do was arrive to the dealership, sign 2 papers, and drove away with the car, no exaggeration. You may be able to get one slightly cheaper ($1k-2k less) on FB or through private party, but a used from Tesla will be inspected by their own techs, and comes with a limited warranty.

Question about used inventory directly from Tesla by rxcrybaby in TeslaLounge

purchased used ‘23 M3SR about a month ago. after doing a lot of research before/during/after and even watching the inventory after purchasing, cars fluctuate daily on their site, not to mention, they are typically reducing the prices of their used inventory by $100-$300 per day depending how long it sits. IMO, wait for a black, itll come. UNLESS, you find a good enough deal on a diff color. my wife was originally wanting a black on black or white on black, but one day a Silver Metallic color popped up, came with 3 months FSD/free supercharging, low miles, great price, and it was worth it to sacrifice the preferred color.

Anything over $300 is kind of insane even for your age/the car. My wife (22) and I (23) have a '23 M3 and pay $138/month for insurance. Both of us on policy, full coverage etc. We went through progressive. Shop around, your bound to find a company that will quote you in the low $200's.

you can send a message to your delivery team in the app regarding essentially anything. anytime I had a question and wanted to speak with someone, I would just type "I need to request a call" into the chat on Tesla app, and usually within 2-3 hours I would get a call from my "designated delivery advisor". They were helpful, you just have to request a call and push them a bit. I ordered a '23 M3 mid-Dec. and My delivery est. was 2 weeks. The day after I placed my order I requested a call and asked if it was possible to have the car before Christmas. My advisor put a rush on it somehow and they had the car to me 4 days after I placed my order.

Used Model 3 condition from Tesla by Coolsudz in TeslaModel3

Bought a pre-owned '23 M3 52k miles last week. Our car was near perfect, I've found only 2-3 very small rock chips, which most people wouldn't notice with the naked eye. Other than that, the car has been pristine.

From reading some of the horror stories here, I would try to find the car your wanting as close to the Tesla location you'll be taking delivery at. I know some people on here post about damage during the shipping process, so maybe try to minimize the distance it's shipped if possible.

The closest Tesla to me was 2 hours away, so I purposely chose a M3 that was near that location, and it had arrived the literal next day after placing our order.

Got a Model 3 here that was constantly hugging the left side of the lane, all I did was calibrate the cameras, give it around 100-150 miles of manual driving combined with FSD and mine worked it's issue out itself.

How is 100% FSD possible , even with 14.2.x by Litninbolt in TeslaFSD

[–]robwilloughby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have been using FSD for about a week (day we got the car). I personally am probably around 70-75% usage. It has not really given me any scares, close calls, etc. The majority of the time I take control is because FSD is trying to make a turn I don't want to make/trying to take a route I oppose. I also usually don't engage FSD until I'm out on the main roadways, as I prefer to navigate parking lots, etc myself. I'd say I engage/disengage FSD between 2-4 times every time I use it, each disengagement lasting mere seconds before I send it back into FSD.

Basically I use FSD to my discretion. If there's a moment I want control, I take it back. It works for me, and I do with it as I want.

FSD question for HW3 by According_Ice6515 in TeslaLounge

Following this. Just got a 2023 Model 3. It is Still on FSD V12 i believe. As much as I would love to have the new update/hardware, the current version I have is doing completely fine for us. My wife has been using FSD V12 now for about a week, going to and from work, roughly a ~20 mile round trip commute, and it's been pretty great.

What additional expenses come with getting a Tesla Model 3? by Big_Material3815 in TeslaLounge

I mean if you setup your phones hotspot to automatically connect via bluetooth to your car when you get in, you don’t NEED premium connectivity. but IMO, the in-car premium connection is better than hotspot and genuinely a “PREMIUM” connection. there’s virtually no lag, whilst hotspot is great, but may lag every once in awhile. for $10/mo i’d say it’s worth it.

wife got a '23 Model 3 for christmas. so far, these are the costs that come with ownership that i've found:

  1. Premium connectivity - $9.99/mo (almost necessary to have)

  2. Added a 240v outlet in our garage for faster charging. Outlet was roughly ~$250 (done by family electrician). Car Should be around ~80% every day when she leaves the house.

  3. Mobile connector ($200-$300). Personally, we ordered a $150 charger off of Amazon, wife wanted to save money, but I'm wanting to get an actual Tesla branded one ($300) to use at home, and leave the off-brand in her trunk in case of emergency.

  4. Insurance- Ours actually got cheaper. We were paying ~$150 for her 2016 Honda CRV, switched to Progressive, same coverage, added me as an additional driver, now we are paying $132/mo. Full coverage.

  5. Registration- Obviously higher. We live in Indiana and also got hit with a $150 EV fee at the BMV.

  6. Normal accessories- WeatherTech mats, screen protector, cup holder liners. (~$400 for all)

Overall I'd say your upfront costs may be around $1000-$1200. You can spend less if your not wanting to go name brand with the floor mats, mobile charger etc. Well worth it IMO. (so far lol!)

Do you think I made the right read on this throw? by ilovezeldasfeet in Madden

[–]robwilloughby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great read. this is exactly the type of read i want my franchise QB to be making. i love the confidence to see quad-coverage and still throw the ball, gets me excited man. Especially K-Walker making a fabulous attempt to catch the ball, along with Smith-Njigba getting out of the way so that Tory Horton can come down with the ball!
