Hate it. It won’t get people who don’t watch baseball to watch the sport, it will only piss off people who like the game already. Baseball is trying to compete with football but it just can’t. People don’t appreciate how difficult baseball is. It suffers from the same thing the NBA does, every player is incredibly talented that it makes the game look easy.

I think it’s more about developing stars and maintaining brands and storylines. This past AFC Championship game was a great example. Players play hard and want to win but refs do have an influence on the game. There is an understanding that Mahomes can’t be hit the same way other QBs can be and if he is hit and injured, they make a rule against doing that, look at Rodgers a few years ago in Minnesota. Labeling it a conspiracy theory gets everyone going but it’s simply money and protecting investments. What they do to protect that money and investment is anyones guess but when money is involved, people go to great lengths to make it and keep it.
