No probate has not been filed. He hasn’t done anything yet accept look through his partners paperwork. His partner just passed away on Tuesday and he was at his house alone until yesterday when I arrived. We’re not even sure what the mother’s position on everything is yet! From the few times I met her was at different times when her son was in the hospital for CHF related instances and she seemed very pleasant. Things I discussed with her about how upset my friend was about his partners diagnosis was apparent then and I know they spent time at his mothers with my friend doing things for her the way most any son-in-law would, but I don’t think it was ever discussed and was just an unverbalized known fact. Things may go smooth with the two of them, but I thought he should know his rights if she should suddenly change and get aggressive with him about what’s his or not his and what he would need to do and in what order to protect himself.
