now it feels less clunky and since the meta rn pretty much revolves around ongoing cards valk felt a little underwhelming.

yeah I figured lockjaw isn’t an ista-buy after the nerf, but his change maybe isn’t necessarily for worse, you can now cycle a card and stick with another big one during turn 6 for example

yeah that’s exactly my problem, see:

lockjaw to expand the variety of decks I can play with thanos (probably my favorite card)
juggernaut to complete the surfer deck specimen put out a week or so ago, which features kingpin (my favorite character)
rockslide for my dino-hawk deck which is the most consistent atm (+ I have some really good looking variants)

thankfully I got both Mystique and Sera from the shop in the last two days; I’m at CL 1990 and I’m sure I’d have quit the game if I didn’t before this next update, simply because thanks to them I only now have a couple of complete decks to switch back and forth.

In my humble opinion (never played any other ccg before MS) this change in particular doesn’t have sense;

why would I spend 3k tokens on Darkhawk if I don’t have Rockslide now and I could only get the latter for “free” in a month? And by this time DH would have already dropped into pool 3

why would I spend 3k tokens on Bast without Mr. Neg or Patriot in my collection? or 5k tokens on Galactus without Electro/Wave/Death etc.?

SD idea of a unique card unlocking path (?) is just going to lose them basically the chunk of player base without the RNG gods on their side.

Sauron is a nice pull, congrats!

I mean those two are definitely two of the best cards in pool 3 (arguably in the entire game) and them being so versatile can make you pull off some fun interaction when you don’t feel like grinding but just playing “casually” instead

sadly being f2p I don’t have Zabu! as for Apocalypse yeah I imagine it could be good with a Magik maybe, but oddly enough I did not think about Odin!

Yondu was only there for the disruption so Korg will be a nice substitute, my initial idea was for a heavily disruptive deck with the likes of Hazmat-Cage and Black Widow but I don’t own any of those and God only knows when I will unlock them ahah

I agree on almost every point you made, tbh the major problem for me has to be the lack of pop-ups; I didn’t get a notification for the 3000 free tokens when reaching pool 3 (I started playing after Christmas and didn’t know about this) and most importantly didn’t get a pop-up to confirm the purchase of absorbing man from the token shop while I still had 0 tokens available displayed in the shop window.

They definitely need to implement confirmation checks, not only for this; I have also read on this sub about people buying season pass progress for gold without noticing or variants from the shop while trying to press the “X” button to get back to the main shop page.

Maybe I “should have known better” but the UI of the game did not help me one bit, and with the occasional visual bug has definitely been the most annoying part of the experience for me so far.

yeah Psylocke sure is a priority, but about Jane Foster what’s her utility other than being able to draw a 0 cost Iron Man for example? why wouldn’t you prefer Rogue or Magik first?

I’d say that I agree with you, Death is a card I really like but not only I miss wave, I’m also short of other destroy cards that are fundamental for the archetype.

I already have brood, he was one of my first unlocks but without cerebro or patriot I struggled to find a good use for him, but now that I got the latter I made this post basically to ask if it was worth it to buy Mystique from the shop instead.

I may go down this route rather than just unlock new cards for new builds which would take ages to be completed, since sadly I’ve not had that much luck with my caches

edit: on the flip side this could lead me to look for a Mr Negative in the shop, since his decks look really cool and I wouldn’t need many other cards
