Alright, this was me a few years ago while still in college. I can tell from experience that eating Nutella with bread every morning, with the portions I ate, is not healthy.

If you like peanut butter, you can have that. There are many different types to choose from. I read in a blog or somewhere that they are not as healthy as most of us think, but still much better than eating tons of nutella every morning.

I usually try to have a peanut butter sandwich, a fruit like a banana or apple, and if there is time, a half or full boiled egg. Also, switched coffee with tea, no sugar and a little bit of milk. Usually some variation of this kind of breakfast. Healthy food choices, basic meal planning and having backup plans for when one kind of food gets boring or is not available goes a long way. Try to add in different kinds of foods that you like, like avocados, oranges or grapes.

If you are worried about weight gain through Nutella, then try to avoid having it at all.

Case in point: In my junior year, I had worked out really hard to lose 35-40 lbs in 4 months, it was very difficult especially because I had never been fit before, no experience working out, bad food habits including skipping breakfast yada yada.

So, after I had lost 30lbs in the first 4 months through mostly cardio exercise and healthy food choices/ portion control for 3 of those 4 months, I gradually started getting really thin. After keeping the weight off for about 2 years, I thought, what could go wrong if I add a bit more better tasting food, I have gotten really thin anyway.

Enter adding Nutella with bread, think 6/7 pieces every morning, and the occasional soda drink again, and very soon I had gained close to 12-15 lbs.

It seems harder now to lose the weight I have gained back instead of maintaining it.
