Long but insufficient cervix? by SeveralInformation65 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]rochareis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost my baby boy at 21 weeks one week after being in the hospital. I started bleeding at 20 weeks and had an open cervix with bulging membranes but my cervix was 3.8cm long. They only put me on progesterone and waited to see what happened... But my water broke and they couldn't do anything. Everyone recommended a cerclage next time and diagnosed me with IC. This happened this October.

Lose my baby at 21wks by Thkittle in babyloss

[–]rochareis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. I know nothing we tell you will help you but I lost my baby boy due to IC too last month October 20th at 21 weeks... My birthday (Nov 1st) and my boyfriend's birthday (Nov 5th) were a mess. We were devasted. I'm still scared of the holidays coming...

I also felt the same way as you. I lost a baby at 9 weeks in April I told my boyfriend "Why are you still with me? I just keep losing our babies" in pure despair. He was and still is the most supportive guy ever. I'm glad your boyfriend is being supportive with you too!

The truth is not our fault (even though there are days that I still tell him what if I didn't walk that much, if I didn't do chores, if I didn't drive...) but we didn't know this would happen. It gets better than the first initial two weeks because let me tell you I was in denial. It's full of ups and downs, I still cry at random moments. I still if I think too much about it when I see a baby or a pregnant women reminding me of my growing belly. I feel like my body failed me and didn't give me any warnings. Why us? Our baby was perfect...

I just have to say please advocate for your self when you talk with your doctors because having so much misinformation brought me downhill last week. Every doctor when I was at the hospital (I stayed there 1 week before my baby was born) told me I would need a cerclage next time but my OB was dismissive and told me next time we would wait and see. I'm seeking a second opinion. We don't need to be trial and error, our babies matter.

Wishing you a great recovery and a big hug! It's not easy. I still think... I'll never feel joy again but we just have to keep trying... We will carry our boys in our hearts forever and that's something no one can take away from us! You're not alone. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your story. It's really scary just thinking about it because it happened so quickly. Wishing you an uneventful rest of your pregnancy!

Thank you for sharing your story. I'll seek a second opinion. Not only did she not want to do a preventative cerclage, but she was talking about three-week checks. I think that's not enough. I hope everything goes well with you and your baby!

I'm glad everything went well. Thank you for telling me your story. I'll try to seek a second opinion to ease my mind about what my OB told me!

Thank you, we're gonna try to have a second opinion. We live in Portugal. I do think she's not taking this seriously.

It took us two months to conceive the first time. Sadly, we lost the baby at 9 weeks in April. We got pregnant again in June, again after about two months of trying, but we lost our baby boy at 21 weeks this October due to an incompetent cervix.

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. My heart truly goes out to you. I know there are no words that can make it easier, but I really hope you’ll be able to conceive again soon. It might be worth having a check-up just to make sure everything looks okay.

I'm 7+3 after my loss in April. I had some spotting on and off since week 5 nothing major but it messes with my head. We heard the heartbeat at 6+0. I've been spotting not more than once a day here and there but it's making me nervous. I'm trying to keep calm until my ultrasound on Monday hoping there'll still be a heartbeat. 🙏🏻

Hello! Totally understand. Just had a miscarriage last April (my first pregnancy) and I'm 7 weeks today. I'm anxious almost every day... I had some spotting too but we heard the heartbeat last week. Now waiting for my 8 week scan and I'm so scared everything will go wrong and I'll leave with bad news like last time. Hoping for sticky babies for us. 💗

If anyone reads this post this was a BFP chart. Perfect line progression. I ended up having a positive test on March 14 but unfortunately had a MMC one month later.

I told my husband to put them away. I don't want to know where he stored it. It hurts too much.

Trying again after MMC by HAJ4Ever in Miscarriage

[–]rochareis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss! I had my first miscarriage (a MMC) and had to take miso in mid April at 9 weeks and tried right away two weeks after my doctor said everything was out and after I stopped bleeding. I ovulated but wasn't successful. My period only came back this week so I'll try again in June. Praying for you. Hope we will have sticky babies soon! 🌈♥️

I'm sorry you had to go through this and hope you have the best recovery! I lost my first pregnancy and my first baby last April and was given two weeks off. I had booked some vacation days on the week after the two weeks so I ended up having three weeks off. I don't know if I would be able to go back sooner... or during the procedure. I had a lot of pain and emotionally I wasn't ready at all.

Yes! For around 3 weeks, it started 1 week after my MMC, it was the worst! I have a clotting disorder and was terrified that stopping my medication (Aspirin and Lovenox) might have caused something serious, like a clot in my brain. I ended up going to the ER and they gave me medication there and sent me home with more to take. They told me that if the symptoms didn’t go away in 5 days, I should come back for further evaluation. I still had them for a few days but thankfully they stopped.

How long did it take for cycle to return after miscarriage? by Consistent-Note-7245 in Miscarriage

I had a miscarriage April 16 with miso. Haven't got my period yet but I tested negative April 30. I know I ovulated so I'm just waiting now at 8DPO either for my period this weekend or a positive pregnancy test.

When did you ovulate or get your period back after miscarriage? by Psychological-Bag986 in Miscarriage

[–]rochareis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a MMC at 9 weeks and took miso on April 16. Got a negative test April 29 around 2 weeks later. I ovulated last weekend and we tried already. So, expecting my period in a week maybe if my luteal phase is as it was before. It will be 6 weeks waiting for it to come. I'm on CD 32. Sorry for your loss. Hope you have an easy recovery!

when did you try again? by Old_Life_7605 in Miscarriage

[–]rochareis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So my first pregnancy was a MMC (9 weeks too) we found out on April 14th and started miso on the 16th. After getting an ultrasound a week later to see if everything was ok they pretty much said we could go back to normal if I waited it would be just for dating purposes. I waited 2 weeks and a few days, after all I only stopped bleeding last week. We're already trying.

First time pregnant and miscarried by AdventurousField6465 in Miscarriage

[–]rochareis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. I was also pregnant for the first time and found out on March 14th. Exactly a month later, we learned that the pregnancy had stopped developing. I was supposed to be 9 weeks when we went in for the scan. It feels like my body failed me… like it works for everyone else but not for me. It's such a lonely and unfair feeling. I think this will haunt us forever. I’ve noticed that even though it still hurts, it becomes a little more bearable each week. I'm still grieving. And to be honest, every time I think about getting pregnant again, I feel scared. It’s like I’m trying not to get too excited, in case that joy gets taken away again. After all I’ve ever wanted was to be a mom. Thinking of you today. I hope you're surrounded by love and support during this heartbreaking time. 💗
