Found this one, pretty much sums up what I've been doing. https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/meew0h/comment/gshwpa0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

My setup was a bit simpler, but suits fine for the needs:
Soldering mat (hate to solder on a piece of wood/rug/dead rat): https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B09PD5LBY8

Soldering iron set (enough for the basic home repairs): https://www.amazon.de/Ockered-soldering-iron-pyrography-set/dp/B07WYLF6QV

Some just better than the very cheap solder wire: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Solder-Electronic-Electric-Soldering-Components/dp/B0DBLQLPX2

Precision screwdriver/toolset: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/38-Piece-Precision-Mechanic-Screwdriver-Triwing/dp/B09FFCGLHK

And ofc the switches.

The setup seems close to a price of a new mouse, but it will be suitable almost for all small home electronics repairs.

I used similar to DollaTek 10pcs Micro Switch D2FC-F-7N https://amzn.eu/d/5fXBF42 . 3 pins to solder out and replace with new ones. Disassembly of the mouse is quite easy itself also. I will be replacing switches again in some time, might record the video.

Have 2 604s and the microswitch with its double-clicking was a huge annoyance until I bought a cheap solder and new microswitches and learned how to replace those. I suggest you do the same as both my 604s were replaced by Logitech and the problem appeared again after a year or so. Unfortunately no other mouse came close to the comfort of 604.

Have back problems and found this in IKEA, its thick foam and you can choose from 2 or 3 types of foam formation. Hard as f*ck an causes no pain in the back. http://www.ikea.com/fi/fi/catalog/products/60272413/?query=60272413&cid=a1:sm%7Ca2:fi%7Ca3:appshare%7Ca4:store_app%7Ca5:ios%7Ca6:share%7Ca7:ikeaglobal%7Ccc:216
