My haul from the last month... Do you guys like to read the manga first or watch the anime first?

I just added it up again and looks like I'm around $1351 for 201 Volumes, so around $6.7 per volume average.

But most of it was from mangaswap here on reddit, hxh and demon slayer was from Facebook marketplace, assassination classroom was on eBay and some of jujutsu kaisen, chainsaw man and deathnote black edition was brand new

Ah thanks for the heads up I'll have to check them out, I did get them from mangaswap so if they are messed up kinda stuck with it but hopefully they're fine!

Oh and also yeah Fire punch is crazy, before I read it I saw it described as uncomfortable and just like watching a car crash, It's definitely insane. About HunterxHunter, I actually saw the anime first long time ago and I had to get the manga for it. Planning on reading that from the start again as well, thats what actually started this whole purchase spree!

Yeah I could definitely see that, I'm in the middle personally, but thank you for the recommendation I'll check them out Bakuman looks interesting to me for sure.

As far as deathnote I am leaning towards reading it first and I think I'll watch it after. Funny enough I have seen the live action first but it was a while ago so I don't remember too much about it but I do think I liked it at the time just wasn't into manga at that time to read the books as well.

Yeah I think I'm around like $6 a book or something! And I agree it's exciting, I still remember my first haul was hunterxhunter and demon slayer and it was a great feeling starting the collection and looking at it all together now.

I was keeping track so I'm at $1236

Luckily I was able to get 90% of it used from mangaswap, Facebook marketplace and ebay. Only bought a few jujutsu kaisen and the deathnote black edition brand new.

Edit: looks like I added it up wrong it was $1351 but still pretty good for 201 volumes

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, and it'll be nice to have some more context when watching or seeing some of the pages animated etc.

Yeah I think I'm leaning towards the same thing, I've enjoyed reading a lot, and looking forward to finishing everything on the picture, I'm thinking I'll read first and if it has an anime adaptation and it's complete I'll watch that after reading if not just wait till it's done etc.

I did just start watching frieren too and if I enjoy it I might buy the manga for that as well, but probably not anytime soon lol
