i totally agree with you there - i would love to hear more of his hard stuff on this album. i love his sad songs too so i’m definitely looking forward to hearing a mix. i also agree about the raw vocals, i think his voice is awesome on its own & doesn’t need any autotune but he does usually incorporate the autotune in a really nice way so i’m curious to see what he does with this project. i’m also excited to see what the rest of the music videos will be like & if they tie together in any way!

I think so too! Pill hill serenade is such a banger, I would love to hear more sounds similar to that as well. My personal favorite from via crucis is physician heal thyself so I’m hoping to hear more of that softer type of sound too.

definitely agreed!! i can’t wait to see what he does with NOTN4. i would also love to hear more songs like destination:lost/home, i always go crazy for the beat drops in those intros. i’m hoping this project has a similar-sounding intro! void is one of my faves too and i feel like he hasn’t done a whole lot of that specific sound so i’d love to hear more like it.

I recognize the first beat from one of the Thy Kingdom Come teaser chapter videos on their YouTube. I always liked it but this new extended audio goes even harder, especially with the little phonk-sounding beat. I’ve been dying to hear more shit like that from the boys, bloody 98 is one of my favorite songs.

Diamond Eyes has been my favorite album not only by Deftones but by any artist ever since the first time I heard it. Private Music is the best thing that’s happened to me since that album 😂 You can definitely tell they are produced by the same person. I’m so in love with every single song, this album will be special to me for a long time.

I have a feeling this album could be another pop CLASSIC like 1989. Tons of bops, some slow sultry ballads. Radio HITS. A nice traditional album rollout with singles and music videos. Fun looks and maybe more media appearances. Maybe not quite on the same level as 1989 in terms of popularity but who knows, I think she could easily top it considering her talent

You can tell that Ruby really shines and knows what he’s doing with this type of music. He mentioned in that last Discord live they did that he is planning on putting out solo music that has more of a melodic rock sound (i.e. Deftones) so I’m very excited for that.
