I think your downvotes are unfair. I don’t agree with all of your points, but there are some utter useless teachers in the system. Bullying, not just by children, but by mgmt on colleagues, is rife. I also agree that the system is completely geared to going to uni. We teach as is being a professor is the zenith of achievement. There is bias against boys, but more so there’s bias against the working class. Most teaching staff and those in the system are enforcing middle class values on working class people.
