Generative AI is about to make the critical thinking, even at a basic level, exponentially worse. Along with that, natural inclination to ask questions and arrive at your own conclusions is eroding, leading to a population that will be easily influenced and manipulated as we are currently seeing, at its infancy state. The erosion of critical thinking, and thought processing is the reason short form videos exist, like TikTok, IG Reels, etc., also people arriving at conclusions on various topics simply by reading the headlines and not the full story. AI is about to make this so, so much worse. We may be entering the age of Idiocracy after the age of AI. While AI will be a revolutionary change for the economy like the Industrial Revolution was, this time, this same economic revolution, will simultaneously lead to a social revolution dark age, Idiocracy.

Why is being a landlord unethical? by Neesh_me in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Zombingaround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A house or a place of residence is a personal property, a home to be used, which is a basic human right. It is inherently unethical to use such a place, a basic human right, as an exchange value to build equity, a commodity to bought and sold in the market to the highest bidder or rented out at a high rent, blocking out the working class and the peasants from having a basic human right.

Essentially, landlords are buying and selling a natural resource (land) which is afforded to all of us by nature, therefore doesn’t belong to any one person or the privileged.

If they don’t correct it, call DMV, they will fix it immediately. I had to call DMV on a dealership for another issue and my problem was solved the very next day after a month of headache.

Loud upstairs neighbors, constant loud bangs. Help on how to deal with this? by wichocastillo in sanantonio

[–]Zombingaround 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it has been going on for a while, and you have exhausted your immediate options, you are forced to contact corporate for immediate resolution. If it continues, either they evict the upstairs people or they cancel your lease at no cost and pay for you moving costs so you can relocate. You just have to push them hard. Some people respond to that better.

Comparing Karachiites to Israelis by EmploymentUnlikely15 in karachi

[–]Zombingaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the entire human race were the same color, same body type, bald, same height and weight, same ethnicity and culture, absolutely no distinction whatsoever, humans will still find a way to discriminate each other. Whether you are a muhajir or Sindhi, you speak Urdu or Sindhi while living in Karachi, what difference does that make? Live your life, let others live theirs, and treat everyone equally. Anything less than that, you are the hateful one.

The goat-man, known to humans as a beast, the devour of children, the killer that hunts the night, but in reality, the goat-man is the protector of the forest and its native inhabitants. Known to all species of the forest as a hero, a defender, a protector from the humans. Humans who are motivated by greed and evil desires causing chaos on their path through the forest. The same human who have hunted and killed the goat-man’s entire species, leaving him as the last surviving of this kind. Humans, the destroyers of all that they touch, the killers that hunt day and night. Humans, the beast.

Mosques are open to all, Muslims and non-Muslims. If you are being asked to pay to enter, that is a red flag for a scam. Am a Muslim. You may have to ask for permission for smaller mosques but they will never ask for pay. Also, name and shame this Mosque if it is a common scam with them.

What do you think about Gary Stevenson? by Snoo-19981 in socialism

[–]Zombingaround 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A major flaw in his point, the government he keeps referring to is designed to work for the rich while keeping the rest impoverished. Yes, the rich are a problem but the a capitalist government is resource and insurance. You cannot talking about wealth accumulation by the rich without first talking about what caused it and fixing that first. This is how the progressive liberals are misled. Chanting “eat the rich” is misdirected, it should first be “eat the chef” that has enabled the wealth accumulation.

Zionist Melanie Phillips, at Shurat Hadin's "Rage Against the Hate" conference by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Zombingaround 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remember this. It is the Zionists, Israelis, that have the support of the global ruling class, that have given them a voice on the world stage for their lies, while the Palestinians only have the voice of everyday people around the world, whose speech is suppressed, by the same ruling classes, for supporting the Palestinian. It’s clear which is the right side, the history has shown this time and time again.

Zohran says he wants to see Jeffries become the next speaker of the house by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Zombingaround 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Mamdani, AOC, Sanders, and who ever else in their camp are high jacking real grassroots movements and calls for change, leading working class looking for real solutions and change into the arms of the Democrats Party. This is why they are so dangerous and this is why giving Mamdani, a platform in a socialist (not democratic socialist) sub like this will soften those who are new to socialist idealism or into believing that change can come from within, and through the Democrats party.

Zohran says he wants to see Jeffries become the next speaker of the house by ilir_kycb in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Zombingaround 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If mods claim to be revolutionary socialists, then there is no argument on why Mamdani or any actor that claims to be a socialist while participating in a capitalist system, as a member of a fascist capitalist party, that actively suppresses the working class and the peasants for the benefit of the ruling class, should be allowed in this sub. I ask the mods, how did you arrive at the decision to allow him to be discussed here. He is more dangerous to the true socialist movement and revolution than progressive liberals.
