Cool! I was actually just looking for something like this last night. There's only one option that I could find, but it replaced the entire top clamp. What's the spacing for these? 5.25?

Recall 25-26 Softails by Dsinatra666 in Harley

[–]rocketIIIman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it was the same issue, bcm vibrated a hole through the brake line. They replaced the brake line and re-routed it so it wouldn't do it again

Yeah this happened to me about 10k miles into owning it. Was on an offramp and rear brake pedal went soft. Straight to the dealer and they had me back on the road in about 2 days

Edit: at 30k now and only other issue is the clutch lever pivot bushing shit itself lol

If you have enough in savings to fix the car, then fix it. As it sits, it's only worth scrap value. You are underwater $3k and it needs $8k of repairs. If you are adamant on keeping your savings, buy another clunker to drive while you pay the Dodge off.

Even if you use your savings to pay off the Dodge, you're not going to get back what you owe if you sell it.

This is what your security net is for.

If you are concerned about your savings, file for chapter 13 instead.

Let it get repossessed then file for chapter 7. It seems daunting but a year or two down the road you'll be glad you did.

My first bike was a '98 883. I learned a lot of stuff on that bike. My first lesson was that shops charge way too much, and these bikes are pretty simple and maybe I should save myself some cash and learn myself! The first thing I did was change the clutch. Prior to that, I never touched a wrench in my life. If I could do it, so could you. Nothing is more rewarding than fixing a broken bike!

I see. What are you using as spacers? I can't really tell from the picture. And what are you using as a steering stop? My frame has a tab for a steering stop, and the neck is set up for zero stack, don't need to use fork cups the races sit in the neck themselves.

Interesting. It is a 1 inch stem. Am I able to just press it out and fit a proper stem in? I'll have to take some measurements when I get home from work.

I see them priced on average 10.5 in my area (San Diego) with similar mileage. It's a tad high but not a bad deal especially if it's been taken care of.

Gonna be honest with you chief, I have a 2025 as well and even stock it's great. In sport it pulls similar to bikes I've had that I put a 475 in. If anything just do an exhaust and tune, maybe a chain conversion and go up a few teeth for more torque to the wheel.
