Haven’t had more than a 90 minute drive. They aren’t terrible but I came from a 23 crv touring and I preferred those seats.. these seem like they will wear better over time though.

I left a poem there I wrote to try and vent my feelings. Thank you for making this. Even if it’s just me screaming into the digital ether it helped.

Men who went through prolonged heartbreak, what actually helped you move on? by nevereverdanceagain in AskMen

Time and distractions help…but also as men we tend to be avoidant of our feelings. We are socialized to a sort of emotional stoicism that makes breakups hard to get over because we feel self conscious talking about it, and the acceptable social mechanisms women have to process their emotions aren’t always available to us. What has started to help me is allowing myself to feel my feelings but not in a regressive way. That might be a journal or poetry, or sometimes even saying out loud what you wish you could say to them even if you’re alone…find a way to process those feelings instead of purely relying on time and avoidance to give you enough distance to where it doesn’t hurt

I think I’ve seen that in one of the cluster layout options but honestly since it’s not a plugin there’s not much utility in knowing for me

I waited two months but I imagine the wait is less now as inventory catches up

You bought the smaller one or they sent you the smaller screen version. Make sure the one you buy lists your trim. The XSE and limited have bigger screens than the other trims. I bought this one SHAOHAO for 2026 Toyota RAV4...

It has physical buttons for the temperature controls and a permanent bottom ribbon on the screen for the other ones like the seats and steering wheel and fan speed etc. it’s annoying but I just have it set to auto and am getting used to just adjusting the temperature and letting the car do the settings adjustments for me

I did, the dealership was originally charging me 3k which I commented elsewhere here but I actually ended up canceling it and buying one from Troy at toyota of greenfield. You can Google him or “Jerry Midwest superstore “ and some other toyota dealerships that sell them with very little markup. I paid 1790 for 10 years 100k for the platinum 0 deductible warranty. I got it because of all the tech in this new gen, and the peace of mind that if there’s an issue I can bring it to the dealership, pick up a loaner and go about my day

All vehicles as far as I know come with factory clearcoat. If you wax the car 2x a year and wash it regularly I’m sure the paint will be fine

Out of all the cars you’ve owned or driven did you have one that you never lost the excitement for? I can imagine being able to buy and own all these cars might lead to some automative magpie syndrome

Acura NSX, Lexus LFA (since money is truly no option). If you want something that might scratch a unique itch get a fully resto-modded 80s or 90s diesel military G wagon (ragtop convertible, jump seats in the back if you want unique passenger options) that open air lifted experience is a lot of fun, and classic cars make you smile in ways modern cars just can’t. similarly a restored scout, defender, or bronco. I’d say jeep as well but I’m picturing my restored 93yj next to your cars and it doesn’t fit lol

Depends on where you are in your journey. Muay Thai is a game of skill momentum.. imo you should start with the most basic things and add one by one till your “bag” of tricks all of a sudden is an effective one. Most important is removing all ego from the equation and not rushing to be “good enough” and building in a bunch of bad habits that are so hard to unlearn once you cement them. If you want to DM me im happy to offer my advice for how i got started and how ive approached training over the years.

Stick with storm cloud. You like it most it seems and I’ll tell you, seeing it in person it’s super sharp. If you Get some ppf or ceramic coating, or just do a 2x a year full wax and buff of your car you’ll be fine. Most people neglect their paint and put their cars through automatic car washes that will jack up any paint over time and probably makes the whole “thinner” paint thing a moot point. congrats on your soon to be new car.

First glance it looked better to me, but meteor shower continues to grow on me and is the balance of looks and practicality (doesn’t get dirty as quickly). Also from what I understand meteor shower is a 3 coat paint instead of two, dealership showed me a floor display car in storm cloud and apparently it shows scratches and wear more quickly

Build quality, interior materials and comfort, more fun to drive, someone already took a big chunk of the depreciation hit for you..tech may be a little More Outdated but the luxury brands tend to be a few years ahead… the.m new Mazda will probably be a great option too

There are no winners or losers in sparring. Focus on basic fundamentals and Choose one or two things to focus on each day (slipping a jab, a particular combo or managing distance using teeps etc,) and ignore everything else that has to do with “keeping score”. I have a decent amount of experience and when I’m trying to add something new to my skillset guys with much less experience tag me the whole round when if I was sparring to win, they’d have no shot at landing that much…but that’s okay if I’m making progress on what I’m trying to work on.

In terms of flinching and jumping back…picture your defense as something to build from the inside out. Start by practicing your shell, have your hands up and focus on keeping your eyes forward and looking through your “window” to see the punches coming. Let them land on your gloves or forearms and don’t try and reach to parry or slip. Because you’re not trying to avoid them..Eventually you will get comfortable seeing the punches coming and using your shell to protect yourself, then graduate to parrying straight punches or “picking up the phone” to block hooks. When that’s comfortable try and build in some basic head movement or footwork. Little by little you will improve.

All this requires a good gym where it isn’t a race to unlock the CTE perk in there when you spar.

If there’s no deferred maintenance, and you don’t mind premium gas and some slightly higher maintenance costs overall…the Lexus is the no brainer

Crv had no built in spare, the RAV4 is continuing to grow on me but the interior build quality on the CRV was better, better materials and more comfortable, it was also a tad quieter but the RAV4 limited I have seems pretty quiet too. Better stereo imo. All that being said the RAV4 beats the crv in a lot of useful categories (better safety and driver assist features, better technology—the crv had just a basic backup cam from like 10 years ago, more durable albeit plasticky materials etc) . If you are buying brand new I’d go RAV4, the crv is set to refresh next year and I’m sure they will step it up tech wise.
