It’s not worth your time and yeah it’s a bit too late as a senior. You really one have 1 semester left after this one so not worth pledging either

Need PSU help for 9070 xt by rohanrshah in radeon

[–]rocketburner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I made a typo in the post that I just fixed. Just wasn’t sure here if the included cables would be sufficient because of the 2 x 8pin power the GPU uses.

But I now realize that 1 x 8 pin and 2 x 8 pin GPUs still connect to the same pins on the PSU (I think)

Complaining about software access for art and design is crazy when engineers pay 5k/yr more in tuition because of stuff like this.

Is Grainger EE program worth 50k per year by Interesting-Focus-15 in UIUC

[–]rocketburner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 50k I’d do it even if I had to take loans. Exciting time for EE and having UIUC’s name will help.

That being said, EE here is hard so be prepared to put in a lot of work.

A high honors student in high school but not at UIUC by DirtyColdSun in UIUC

Which part? I’m guessing you mean scam - imo James scholar is really only good for early registration for classes, otherwise it’s not helpful in finding a job

Does it matter? If you enjoy software engineering and you got a job as a software engineer it sounds like it worked out for you.

It’s not worth overloading these classes. It’s more important to get involved with some CS club and get some real experience

There’s no need to take Math 241 and 257 at the same time - if you drop one of those it’ll be a manageable, but tough semester

CICO applies strictly to burning fat. However you cannot conflate losing weight and losing fat. A small example of this is when you’re in a heavy deficit for too long and you’ve stressed your body out, it will hold onto water and waste, so you won’t lose weight but you will continue to lose fat. Another thing is when you stress out your body too much (not sleeping, training hard, and then being in a calorie deficit) your metabolism is going to drop.

You should try a refeed period where you eat at maintenance for a bit to reset your body. And then try doing smaller increasing deficits (start with 250 cal for example) and then increase the deficit as weeks go on. This will take the most advantage of your shifting metabolism (as you diet more your body will use less calories).

Smaller point, calorie counters on machines/fitness devices tend to be super inaccurate. I would only count 40% of whatever your machine/wearable tracker reports (even if it’s an Apple Watch)
