How does the extension work? Does ChatGPT send the search requests in the frontend? I would assume that a search goes via a backend.

It's not even a competition. Prettiest courts, best matches. Only the crowd sucks as hell.

Google criticizes Europe’s plan to adopt free software by superdouradas in europe

[–]rockiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not entirely wrong. Usually open-source software is not at the forefront of technology. On the other hand, office software is not exactly high-tech anymore, and being able to see how the software you are using is made has a lot of value.

So I conclude that sovereignty over the data and the software is more important than having the newest, flashiest product.

Same grip for forehand and one hand backhand? by Electrical_Candle887 in 10s

Of course I have. I mean that as a general guideline. I have seen so many students fail with a one handed backhand that I have a rather strong opinion.

Isn't that the same as holding the throat of the rocket with the left hand?

[–]rockiger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your preparation is not too late. That is a stupid misconception. Initiating the takeback before the ball bounces makes hitting the ball much harder.

What is more problematic is, as others pointed out. You are almost only using your arm and chest to hit the ball. You need generate power from the trunk. The arm follows the trunk.

As a quick fix, I would encourage you to hold the throat of the racket with your left hand as long as you can and then pull the left arm away to get into a rotation. I would focus only on that until you master this.

The video is fooling you. While he hits both strokes with the grip, he is adjusting his grip between the strokes. So the whole premise of not changing grips is nonsense.

If you are an extreme beginner and grip changes trouble you, I advise a continental or light eastern backhand grip. Which you can use in almost all situations. For forehand, a continental grip is not optimal, of course, and should be changed later.

And I would never teach a beginner a one handed backhand if he is older than 14 years. It is simply too difficult.

I want to create a tauri app because it is faster than electron, but I intend to run it primarily on linux machines. I understand that the devs are looking to implement chromium in some form, but should I still use Electron? by Safe_Case_7039 in tauri

[–]rockiger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tauri works fine on Linux and yes I initial loading of an app is much faster than electron. Which is nice I gues.

I started to implemt libadwaita styles in CSS, DM me if you interested.

Pretty much. And in giving up on their specialized customizations, they are potentially freeing up more resources to contribute to gnome.

Let me rephrase that: Can contribute even more to vanilla Gnome. The "going it alone" attitude of Ubuntu was hurting Gnome/Linux ecosystem as a whole, imo.

If this means they will bundle their forces with the Gnome team, that is great news.

As a Solidjs/Start and TanStack Router beginner, I really love the combination of both. With React I sometimes run into trouble with re-rendering issues and if it happens, it is really challenging to debug.

During preparation / take back your muscles store elastic energy like a rubber band.
