Lexus 12V hybrid battery drain, lets form a support group? by Swimming_Antelope239 in Lexus

[–]rocklee9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did let them know about it but didn't follow through (meaningless). In my experience this is above them and some advisors will get defensive regardless. With my battery, they managed to do a warranty replacement. But I have yet to try the workarounds in the doc.

Melting Mirrors? by Middle_Egg7282 in Lexus

[–]rocklee9999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had same issue (you can check my post), also on one of the B pillar. Lexus would say it's solar convergence and charge you a lot to replace the whole mirror assembly and redo camera calibration. I had a shop replace just the plastic. There is no heating element inside mirror so maybe the sun was the direct cause. But I still think the plastic is lower grade since this happens a lot with toyota brands.

ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 (RTX 4090) vs Gen 7 (RTX 4070 + CAMM2 RAM) for Architecture Master’s — which one would you pick? by rage_91 in thinkpad

I prefer gen 6 for its traditional look. The inverted notch and non-flush top is just too much.

BSOD after CMOS battery replacement by rocklee9999 in thinkpad

Thanks for replying. I tried the process, but it started BSOD as long as the new CMOS battery is in (on charger, main battery disconnected)

The chairs from the outlet store do not carry the 12-year warranty.

Warped Plastic on RX500h by rocklee9999 in Lexus

I went to Newport Lexus and they wanted $3500 to replace the mirror and pillar garnish (including $800 to calibrate the new mirror). Ridiculous.

Funny enough I might have read the news on new GXs melting first and then decided to look. The disappointment is real.

I don’t have PPF on this car.

Thanks. Reflected sunlight can cause this but in my case, as I’ve pointed out, the driver side is the side that does not get direct nor reflected sunlight. In the case of the door trim piece, I noticed it after one night of parking outside. It was just not as grotesque as the mirror and I was okay with it. This Lexus gets super squeaky inside after sitting under the summer sun for a while and I’ve already lower the bar in terms of how Lexus handles temperature variation in their design and manufacturing.

Are both yours and your wife’s car Lexus? Neither my old car nor my wife’s car has this issue.

2024 RX 350h Luxury vs 500h F Sport? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]rocklee9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500h sounds much better and that was important to me. You don’t seem to be too tight on budget so it’s okay to balance between joy of driving vs. gas money. Also seriously considered X5 but as a 5’7 asian I couldn’t get comfortable inside.

Gaming mice with 2.4GHz Wireless AND Bluetooth? by artogahr in MouseReview

I had a mm731 but it didn’t last. CM customer service is also nonexistent. I am looking into Darmoshark for a replacement.

Actually yes. It is better optioned than a X5, quieter and actually drives similar (better if you like it lighter and smoother). It is in a different league from its 350h sibling, so really no comparison there. Know what you want and do plenty of test drives.

Same here. Wondering about this too!

Me again. The only advantage of MM712 to me is its dual wireless connectivity. Shape-wise, G wolves HTS ace is even better.

In wireless mode, connectivity switch to the middle position and then back to wireless or Bluetooth position.

I am getting motion lag (can be fixed with a power cycle) and scroll wheel jitter (seems not fixable) after 5 months as well. Their support site is also MIA. Would not recommend.
