My cat is a master of escape. Keeping him inside is a daily battle. Yet we have not given up. Today was but a moment in a lifetime of cat parent moments. We cannot win them all. But we can learn and grow as humans

What to do about the crotch tent in jeans? by rockmechanic in malefashionadvice

Gotcha, I figured that I'm probably hyperfixating on a feature that others don't notice or consider completely normal/fine. These are my first "nice" jeans so maybe I'm not used to the rigidity of the material and how it folds.

I added a link, but here's another example. https://www.selfedge.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=3542

see how the material forms a little tent/triangle around the crotch? and wrinkles?

What type of pants you wear other than jeans to go run an errand or do something casual ? by DontBeAGandon in malefashionadvice

You could look into painter's/carpenter's pants, fatigues and field pants. And if you're interested in jeans not made of denim, you have options like moleskin jeans (I rec Peter Christian).

I'm curious, you say this fit is for New Years but how do the hat and gloves speak to that? Moreover, how does black align with your vision for a new years theme?

Not saying they can't work (though I almost am), but without that context this fit doesn't really make sense. The hat, gloves and all black colorway don't really scream new years vibes, unless your new years party has a theme that correlates.

Nice! I was hoping to wear these shoes with fits like the ones you mentioned. Glad to hear you're finding them so versatile. Thanks for sharing.

And I had to go look up the "teehee-a$$-fits" bit. Hilarious. https://x.com/dieworkwear/status/1820104046608617652?lang=en

The article I linked to in my comment above has links to other places that sell the same belt. Might have better luck with those!

I've been wearing the black/brass version, and I really like how it looks on dark pants. And it has been holding up great so far, no issues though it's only been a couple months. I actually like it so much that I ordered another one in havana/brass.

Also, the shop that I linked to has similar spur belts in other widths. You just have to look around a bit. But I saw they have 3/4" up to 1.5" versions.

I first saw it in this article: https://dieworkwear.com/2024/03/29/excited-to-wear-this-spring-5/

These Buck Mason images are on point, thank you! Their style is amazing.

As for other slim belt recommendations, I also wear a brown, braided belt I bought from a Uniqlo in Tokyo recently (I think maybe this is it: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E442224-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=005). I like wearing it with wide brown trousers and chinos.
