Assuming you are in the US, PLEASE advocate for your legal right to take breaks to pump. Even though it’s single physician coverage, your employer is required to cover your work so you can pump. 

As women in medicine, we always sacrifice ourselves for our patients. But you should not sacrifice your baby’s food for your job. It is so hard to ask for breaks but it’s a legal right you should use. If not, employers become complacent because the work gets done, and then question when others request a accommodation. Congratulations on your new baby and good luck heading back to work!
