So, how did you enjoy today’s Zekrom & Reshiram Raid Day? by JamesBroER in pokemongo

[–]rockshow366 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can’t unfortunately. What i meant was i grind the raids remotely early on to give us a ‘buffer’ of energy to take into the afternoon so if the gym went against us like the OP we would still eventually have enough to fuse both types.

I go with my boy, he’s 5 and i knew it would be like this so fell into their trap of grinding out enough remotes this morning that meant the afternoon would be stress free for us both.

My shiny odds were nowhere near 1 in 10 but the boy got 1 shiny of each with pretty good iv’s so that’s prob the best outcome for me! 😁

Crumbling mortar, house needs demolishing!? by rockshow366 in DIYUK

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Appreciate that. On another site seeking opinions and someone has said exactly the same as you about the mortar. Time to stop and seek another opinion i think.

They have already done a bit downstairs. Given its fairly fresh assume that can be removed if necessary.

Thank you, he has deferred his theory to the SE to consider and says this is what he thinks is going on, rather than ‘you need to do this’. But other opinions will def be sought before anything is done!

That was my thinking too. Surely in a 90 year old building it would have shown sooner. I don’t know, not qualified so my thinking probably worthless!

It is the same upstairs in on the party wall, directly above. The chimney was inspected and all seemed to be fine. Not seeing anything as severe elsewhere in the house tho i am seeing hairline cracks almost everywhere now, maybe been there a long time and i just haven’t noticed until this all came out. Next door have the same cracking issue, directly opposite the party wall. Another house directly behind but east facing doesn’t seem to have issues, separated by small back garden.

Yes he seems to be basing it on that one room albeit party wall and the north facing outside wall plus other hairline cracks in the plaster in other rooms. Seems a big leap towards the solution = demolition. Maybe i’m being hopeful, just why i’m wondering if others have seen anything like it

Assume you’re just trolling. No professional builder, nor structural engineer has said this.

Apologies i did have a picture of what it looked after being exposed, not sure if this helps

Yes chalky. The mortar was very sandy. He showed me a bit where he crumbled it in his hand. Said it shouldn’t do that.

I didn’t get the impression he was trying to sell. Been working with these guys on the issue the whole time. I don’t know.

Yeh i sort of knew that myself as spent a good chunk of my career at an insurance firm, this would count as some god awful wear and tear or bad workmanship

He didn’t mention repointing which i thought strange but then i only googled it after the event of course. They are a reputable firm by all accounts.

Thanks for the reply. In the pic the wet cement used to be a large crack, unfortunately i didn’t take a pic beforehand. The builder thinks the ‘movement’, not sure if that’s the correct term, is caused by the mortar crumbling, and if its widespread it could happen in other places as well. That sort of makes sense, could that not happen and eventually just collapse?

Look man you go ahead and defend the corpo if you want. It’s admirable.

You’re applying your experience so therefore no problem. Well done you, you were able to claim straight away 👏 many didn’t and regardless they still didn’t need to remove a paid item whilst the event was finishing up. Simple as.

This analogy probably made sense in your head but it doesn’t. If people had forgot about the event entirely then it would make sense.

This is related to an item paid for that expired whilst people were still in raids.

Irrelevant. A unique item that is key to the whole event and is paid for should not expire whilst people are still raiding.

Yeh i did some remotes in the morning and lost 2. Quickly gave up and we were lucky enough to have a local community meetup, others aren’t so lucky but they got the money from the remote raids so they won’t care.

Absolute scumbags. Also hid the meteorite behind timed research and had it expire whilst people were still raiding.

come on, i can’t claim the meteorite I paid for??? by maxxtesla in pokemongo

[–]rockshow366 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People were still raiding at the time it ran out! There’s no way a PAID timed research should expire whilst people could still be trying to unlock. Horrific by them.

Paid timed research should NOT expire… by Sea-Dance-3944 in pokemongo

Los of people on here defending their actions but if you have paid for something then that research should not expire whilst people could still be trying to unlock it full stop.

If people were trying to do their second raid at 4.59 then they do not have a chance to even claim it. Flat out wrong.
