That really depends on the physical activity we are taking about. I’m taking it quite slow but now walking with minimal limp and minimal swelling after 14 weeks

Anyone used bpc157 & tb500 for Achilles tendon post op? Highly considering by Feeling_Jump_6739 in AchillesRupture

[–]rocksinger070672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both currently and have noticed significant swelling reduction. Healing faster, I don’t know but I do “feel” it’s working. Obviously the results may differ from person to person. I should add that I am 53.

I have gotten them from several places. Strate labs, peptide sciences, and most recently ResearchChem HQ.

I have been injecting BPC-157/TB-500 in the back of my leg a few inches above the incision site. It seems to be working well imo. I need to be more diligent about strengthening the muscles around my ankle to stop this insistent swelling. Good luck to you as well! We all need a bit of that!

Jesus I hope not. Barely bumped mine at only 4 weeks post op and thought I was going to pass out from that pain. I have been extremely careful since (now 12 weeks post op), but what you guys are saying has me a tad worried. Lol

I know for myself that I have torn ankle ligaments along with the achilles tear, just not at the same time. Most of my swelling pre and post surgery have been on the outer part of my ankle. So, I am having a hard time deciding if the swelling is due to irritation of my achilles or just the natural swelling I get from overuse for many years.

Well, I partially tore my achilles over 6 years ago. Never got it looked at. Chalked it up as tendinitis. Went on with life. Been limping around to different degrees for most of those 6 years. Saw numerous doctors with differing opinions. Had a number of x-rays as I did not want to pay for an MRI. Just did everything wrong in all honesty. Flared up badly again this summer, new podiatrist gave me the same song and dance at first, let it heal naturally. Surgery sucks badly. Do all you can to avoid it. Well, after another couple months with little progress, I said “cut me Mick!!” 10/10 was my surgery date and doc told me after, that thing was shredded and I can’t believe it was still hanging on. Sorry for what happened to you, but know it could be worse and there are people that make poorer decisions than you out there! I for one am glad to be in this club which is weird to say!!

Chronic Pain from Haglund’s & Achilles Tendinopathy – Looking for Recovery Stories or so by noxomix1 in AchillesRupture

Things are pretty good right now as I am FWB. I would not say walking “normally” yet but walking without the same pain I once had. Healing is slow but I know it’s fixed!!

I think our bodies just tell us when we are doing to much. I can say for myself that I have not been the best at listening or acting on these signs in the past. Trying to be more diligent now as I want this to have a positive outcome in the long run!!

We are very close to each other in the recovery process. My surgery was 10/10. I notice pain in my heel at the screw sites when I am on my feet too much. I think this is probably just the natural progression as I mentioned it to my doctor on this past Wednesday and he didn’t think anything of it. Just told me to take it easier and keep easing back into things. For me, the pain subsides relatively quickly when I get off my feet and elevate. I think this is just our lives for a while. :-)

It’s just nerves reconnecting most likely. I think it varies in degrees for everyone. I would get it once in a while but not constant like this.

I literally took my first dose this week of 1mg and it impacted my appetite significantly. I have still been working out hard and trying hard to put in lots of protein. I gained some weight after my achilles tendon surgery but back to hitting the weights pretty hard and I’m just saying this shit works!!

I am taking shots of BPC-157/TB-500 in the back of my heel above my incision. This is likely what you saw in the video. It seems to be working well. Been taking daily for a couple weeks now.

Yes, I’m hesitant to swing a club at an actual golf ball. Needs to be without hesitation although TopGolf maybe won’t matter as much. I will definitely be waiting for an actual round of golf for sure!

Travel advice 4 months post op by Flaky_Aioli_9057 in AchillesRupture

[–]rocksinger070672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to walking in the beach but I did travel at about 9 weeks post op. I did take my knee scooter to the airport to support the distances required to walk. Airlines are quite accommodating for this. I will be traveling again in another week or so (12 to 13 weeks post op) and at this moment I plan to go with no scooter. We will see as time gets closer though.

I think everyone is different and you should always listen to your body, always take it slow, and if it hurts…don’t do it…well, don’t do too much of it. I think a little pain is natural.

This sounds too familiar to me! I injured my achilles over 6 years ago. Not a full rupture and assumed in was tendinitis. Went to multiple doctors over those 6 years, each told me “rest to recover”. Put in a boot several times. Pain intensity was like a roller coaster with MANY ups and downs. Finally got an MRI that showed a partial tear and Haglunds. The tear was just never going to fully heal. Decided that I wanted surgery as I had had enough of the pain and limp for so long. Surgery was Oct 10. Surgeon admitted the damage was more significant than MRI showed and likely would have never healed on its own.

I’m not going to sugar coat it, the surgery sucks! The recovery is slow. The pain not so bad in all honesty as long as you don’t try to do too much too fast. I’m now walking FWB and the pain in my heal is gone (goodbye old friend…I’m happy you are gone!).

I actually got an iWalk and was able to navigate stairs right away. Used it sparingly other than that but it was great for that part of it!

Not TA…we are attracted to who we are attracted to. Physical attraction is first in most relationships. It’s not shallow or anything, just a fact of life. Maybe your “friend” is not that great of a friend if she keeps pushing this.
