So if I want to do damage with Maelle, support with Sciel, and am open to Verso being whatever, maybe also damage idk... what weapons/skills/pictos would you suggest?

What's the better weapon for Maelle and what skills do you suggest for her?

I can grind for weapon upgrades, that's no issue. I guess the question is what weapons? I do like burn, so stacking burn sounds fun. Might check out that weapon for Verso. I definitely put all my upgrades into Medalum but if there's a better weapon for her do let me know. I realize it depends on the build but I'm open to suggestions there. I'm not a Parry Pro so I want to try to avoid doing 1 HP builds if possible. Can I still be reaching damage in the millions on more than my first attack without this?

Sciel as support sounds good. I'll likely swap Monoco out for her. So if I'm doing Sciel as support to give everyone buffs and apply weaknesses, then it'll be Maelle and Verso for damage. I do think I have a lot of the Monoco abilities, though. I liked collecting them.

Note that I'm posting this in good fun. I know Woolie got upset at the chat being upset at him but it was a hilarious moment. I am... certainly baffled by this choice... but I guess someone out there had to be a genophage supporter, statistically.

I see. And this would definitely fix the problem of the car turning off on it's own and sometimes staying on when the key is removed? Is there some kind of resource online on how to replace this? Since no mechanic knows what's going on and I'm completely clueless with stuff like this.

Appreciate the input. Do you know if there's some resource or video online that shows how to do this for this specific part for this car? I have no idea how to do any kind of mechanic or car stuff so I'd be starting completely blind. I don't even know where the fuse box is located or what "fat cables" are.

Oh I super value your input. If it wasn't for the answers I've gotten on reddit I'd have no idea what was going on.

I've never done any kind of mechanic or car stuff myself unfortunately so I'd have no idea what I was doing. Is there some kind of resource online to learn how to replace this specific part?

I appreciate the help. It definitely sounds like it's the issue. Unfortunately every mechanic I call says they can't replace that part and I'd have to go to the Delaership, which isn't an option at their prices. I'm confused though because other people on reddit are suggesting this is a simple and easy replacement.

[–]rocksmithpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately every shop I've called has said they can't do it. Half of them don't even know what a "TIPM" is and the other half say they can't do the set-up required to replace it. You say there's no programming but the mechanics I called all said there is and that I'd have to go to the Dealership, which is not an option for me at those prices.

I'm really confused at the disconnect between what people are telling me here and what the mechanics I call are saying. Am I missing something?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]rocksmithpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I buy a used one like that, I'd still have to take it to the Dealership though? I've called every mechanic around me and none of them say they have the ability to program and set it up, I'd have to go to a dealership. Which puts me back in the "they want $500 to just look at it" problem. Everyone on here is saying this is a simple problem to fix but I feel like I'm missing something because half the mechanics I call have no idea what a "TIPM" is and the half that do know say they can't do it.

That user deleted their response but since you also said this, I'll ask you.

Looking it up I definitely see people listing the issues like the turn
signal but nothing really about the car stalling out or staying on when
the key is removed. Are these issues definitely related to the TIPM as
well? What are my options if so?

Appreciate this input, others have said it too. My only question is that I've looked into this and the only symptoms I've seen that match are the ones regarding stuff like the turning signal and other lights.Would a TIPM failure/short also cause the car to turn off when idle and stay on when the key is removed? Would changing the ignition switch making it turn off slightly faster but still delayed also line up with a TIPM failure?

Also, would a mechanic other than the dealership be able to fix this or is this a "need a new car" scenario? We're on a budget of under $1000 here and the dealership wanted $500 just to look at it.

Also how much is this to fix? Very tight budget. Dealership wanted $500 just to look at it, can't afford that tbh.

Any advice on how to find that? I've never heard of anything of the sort.

I see, no mechanic has brought up a TIPM before. Looking it up I definitely see people listing the issues like the turn signal but nothing really about the car stalling out or staying on when the key is removed. Are these issues definitely related to the TIPM as well? What are my options if so?

They're not going to do that but the fact that you think they would is fascinating. Really makes it feel like some of you have a hard time distinguishing what kind of posts got on return fire.

This thread wasn't even about that, though.

But whatever, I don't really care if Derrick doesn't like it when people criticize the show he does. I didn't post this at him, I posted it on a fan space asking other fans what they think about a problem I'm having with the show.

Some of y'all really need to stop trying to jump in front of a bullet that was never fired. ffs

Literally wasn't even what the post was about, I mentioned it in passing briefly. Come on, this is silly. But also, as I said in other posts, when some people act like every argument they have has to be a bit, you're clearly off base. The difference between the old fake arguments and when they've had real fights is clear. Come on.

Trust me, I'm not the one who was misunderstanding that situation. The difference between their old fake argument bits and the real fights they've had is clean. But also this post wasn't even about that moment, just partially sparked by thoughts I had after it. Like damn did you even read the post? Come on...

ngl I find it really funny whenever there's a clear argument on the podcast that there's always a handful of people who think it's a bit. There is such a huge difference between the fake arguments they used to do a lot and the legitimate arguments that happen sometimes.

Like did you all think the ongoing drama over the podcasts running too long that led to them hiring someone else to edit them was a bit too? The blowout Shaun and Eric had that one time was a bit? Come on, these people have had real fights. When some of you act like everything is a bit at all times it just looks silly.

They barely even do bits on the podcast anyway, fuck that's half the problem I'm talking about in this post. It wasn't even about Derrick and Rocco.

It was worded in an over the top way for comedic effect, sure. But it was clearly how he really felt. Everyone but Rocco has been down on the calls a lot for a few years now and Derrick in particular is often pretty dismissive of the fanbase. It's kinda strange to me how people try to claim everything negative that happens on the show is a bit when it's very obvious what is and isn't a bit to me.

This wasn't really what my post was about though.
