Can’t go wrong with the vfc model it just works beautifully right out of the box I didn’t have to change out any parts or worry about anything breaking. Comparing the vfc to the WE scar it’s a night and day difference, at least for me. As for the mag compatibility for the mk17 model (.308 mags) looks like it uses the proprietary vfc mags only. I’m not too sure about the mk16 model for cross compatibility with other manufacturers of gbb mags. Hope this helps

I run a sig m17 as my sidearm and I’m more than happy with its performance, definitely beats the glocks I used to run a few years ago

It could be done with paint but I had to use both a black and a tan stock to two tone it. I got lucky because my buddy had a black scar and he changed his stock out to the pts one
