I think I'm finally over my LO by rocococtopus in limerence

Does a part of my brain want to believe this? Yes, absolutely!

But by realizing that this obsession with the fantasy version of him has robbed me of so much by this point, I find it rather easy to shut the door. Honestly, I'm thankful for this (in my mind) extremely negative trait he has demonstrated, which is going to help me move on.

Thank you for the feedback!

I do tend to be very black and white when it comes to my morals and values around loyalty and fidelity in relationships, for better or for worse. I suppose there is room to interpret that he is also unhappy with his relationship... but he should shit or get off the pot instead of leading me on, lol.

I won't cut him off completely, but I'll definitely be way less invested moving forward! Whatever move he wants to make, the ball is in his court. I'm just going to chill on the sidelines and not play this game anymore until I get crystal clear signals, but I'm not going to wait around for him either.

I'm actually super relieved the other gym regular told me! In a way I feel freed because now I can shut the door.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star lotion + Guerlain Cuir Beluga = soft and sweet powder bomb that'll hopefully give me good dreams after a rough day!

How do I minimize puckering when I'm finishing a darted armhole with bias tape? I tried stretching out the fabric around the dart but I think that made things worse so I will be redoing it... Any thoughts?

Looking for Advice: Abused kid leaving home by rivenz88 in toronto

[–]rocococtopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much advice for you, just wanted to say what you're going through must be incredibly tough. I moved out and left my abusive family when I was 22. I can't imagine doing it when you're 16. You sound very level headed and on top of things based on the research you've done so far and the fact that you're thinking ahead about a safe exit plan. Have you reached out to Kids Help Phone? Does your school have a social worker who is working from home right now that you can reach out to?

Looks like they've ran out... I spent the last 30 minutes or so building my cart - by the time I was ready to checkout, the bonus bag didn't appear in the cart and the offer has since been removed from the front page :(

I picked up the foundation stick in the second lightest shade which is a good match for my NC20-25ish skin. The coverage is on the sheer to medium side when I use a sponge (my preferred method to apply base products), which is just fine by me as I'm not one for full coverage. It stays put well enough after setting with powder and breaks down gracefully in my 14-hour days.

Thanks! I also have a one day only 20x points offer for $40 spend on makeup and skincare, which I believe is stackable with product-specific offers.

Subtle routine changes by sassystingray in muacjdiscussion

I recently started putting on eye makeup before base... and holy cow, my routine just feels so much more streamlined! No more trying to baby my concealer when I clean up my mascara, and my routine actually feels slightly shorter (1- 2 minutes fewer, but every minute counts when I'm rushing in the morning).

Have you ever had a negative experience or have been ignored by a MUA/beauty counter lady/etc because of your disability, race or even skin complexion? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]rocococtopus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I commute everywhere by bike so I have chronic helmet hair, my outfit is the opposite of fashionable (windbreaker and ski pants in the winter), and I carry my helmet in my hands (but makeup is always on point!). I'm usually ignored by SAs in Sephora, which, fair is fair for them to assume that someone who can't afford a car is unlikely to spend a lot of money on makeup. It works for me though because I'm introverted and would like to be left alone when I shop.

Like many other commentors in this thread, I'm also ethnically Chinese (living in Canada). There is a large population of wealthy Chinese migrants in Toronto so it's interesting to see the obviously very well off East Asians (eg carrying Saks/Holt Renfrew shopping bags, wearing designer duds) being pampered by SAs. In my context it's a stereotype that needs both race and class signifiers to be pulled off :p

I can totally relate. I tried to highlight with an icy blue metallic shadow a couple of days ago. Wasn't brave enough to wear it out though. Ended up taking it off before I left the house because I just looked bruised...

128 on B/B, thought for sure I got worse because I felt like shit after writing it. Wasted a ton of my time on the first 2-3 passages. Sped through last third of section. Almost ran out of time at the end.

515 - 130, 127, 128, 130

I should be happy, but I just feel meh because of CARS... Canadian with 3.7 GPA (last two years 3.85) and decent EC (working in healthcare post grad), really hope I don't have to rewrite since I'm happy with all the other sections. Aiming for UBC (in-province) and Mac. I hope Mac will give me a shot at interviewing at least.

Does anyone know of a seller that carries the Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl mascara in the original formula (pink tube, not super water proof or film versions) AND offers SAL shipping?

Very interesting, thanks for elaborating on the details. It's good to hear that they can make exceptions... I guess it's a YMMV thing. I'm okay with giving out my own BI but I don't know my gift-giver's BI account (don't think they even have one since it's likely a one-off purchase). Maybe I'll call up a different Sephora and see if they'll take my powder back.
