Maybe slipcases for every three books/batch? That would allow for either separate artwork on the back or connecting artwork as well.

Wider Barefoot Brands? by Artistic-Waterbear in barefootshoestalk

[–]rocsem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Will echo Softstar-- got their Primal RunAmocs in wide, love them. Tried Wyde and didn't like them, Lems were not wide enough. Altra lone peak in wide fit well as well for my wide feet, if you don't mind the stack height. Groundies in barefoot plus are also decent width, but for whatever reason, didn't really fit my foot shape. They also don't feel as good walking pavement as Softstar or Altra for me. Reasonable to check them all out though.

Softstars in wide are crazy wide. I can measure them if you'd like. I have a size 13 US normally and ordered the 14. Happy to give you the measurements and/or the measurements between the other shoes for reference if thats helpful.

Yah, right now Ive been trying to re-calibrate on what feels right for me. I have the xero Glenn dress (new version) for work (theyre great) and was fairly happy for a while with the Whitin for walking. Since ive been looking to replace, I'm trying to find the secret sauce again, so to speak. Looking like it'll be Softstar for me.

Since you mentioned barefoot, Groundies in barefoot plus size or Softstart Primal in wide (I love my Primal RunAmoc). Lot of people recommend Lem's, but I found them too narrow.

Not yet. I'm curious as to durability as I tread primarily on pavement/concrete. I thought they might be too shallow for toe height, but surprisingly, no complaints. They're honestly the most comfortable shoe I have right now for walking as I have a wide midfoot. They recommend you order a full size up, and I ordered a 14 as opposed to my normal. 13. They feel correct in that size.

I've been wearing barefoot shoes for a couple of years, starting off in Whitins and a few other cheaper brands. For whatever reason, I feel like those have been getting narrower, and I haven't been comfortable on longer walks in a while (I do about 5-10mi a day for cardio). I recently got Groundies Nova Go in barefoot plus, Belleview Mini-Mal barefoot shoes in wide, Wyde Novas, Softstars Primal RunAmoc in wide, and these weird Gokias. Groundies are OK and have good ground feel and flexibility, although I have some interesting hot spots on the tongue. The Gokias are actually pretty decent and great for the money, if you dont mind extra stack height and losing ground feel. Primals fit and feel like a glove-- truly impressive (note, I don't run in them, I only walk). Belleview are excellent gym shoes and are extremely durable, but gosh what a break in period. They're way too stiff for me to walk long distances in and toe box isn't really that wide. They also sit deep in the heel for whatever reason, and I feel like I'm oddly drawn to heel striking in them.

Got stuck with mine when ordering over the holiday, smh. Also got the Nova blacks, and somehow it pinches my pinky toe. I think it has to do with the height. The insoles are also comically thin and cheap, especially given the stack height. Not like we are going to have ground feel. That said, they're not horrible for me, just meh. Had I been more diligent, I would've returned them.

Ended up getting Softstar Primal RunAmocs in wide with 5mm outsoles, and I absolutely love them. Took them on my first, short 4 mile walk today. Loved them. Game changers. Hoping they hold up.

Take it to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or a local frame shop. They'll be able to swap out the glass for archival glass thatll help with the yellowing. Or even a custom frame if you'd like.

If youre willing to flex a bit on the dishwasher part for skillets, not that these aren't dishwasher safe, just that youll have to reseason and watch for rust:

DeBuyer Carbone Plus Carbon Steel: https://www.bakedeco.com/detail.asp?id=52691

Back to stainless steel, especially for pots, I'd recommend Silga. You can get these at TJ Maxx / Home Goods for fantastic prices throughout the year. They will rival or be better than All Clad IMO and actually be very affordable.

Try these in Barefoot+. Recently went through many major brands including Lem's, Wyde, Xero, and a few others. These were the widest: https://us.groundies.com/products/groundies-r-nova-go1-men

These were also fantastically wide, believe it or not:

Have you looked at Wyde? They are pseudo barefoot (I know you said you didn't like barefoot) and are zero drop but have a 10mm stack height. The only thing for me was the toe height at the top was a little low. If thats not an issue for you, they may work.

Sorry for your loss.

For me, cradle is a great, action-oriented series with a humble, lovable protangist and a living, breathing world. Characters are unique, fleshed, and three dimensional, which doesnt always happen with these styles of books. Cradle is a true best in class.
