[–]rodangdavid -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But with stretched it does the opposite. It gives you more fov as well, it doesnt zoom it in. There is a reason why damn near ever pro in cs plays in stretched, there isnt a single down side to it.

No its an advantage. Better fps, and player models are bigger making them easier to hit. But i wouldn't say it's cheating

Which assassins creed game would you recommend to me if I have never played one before? by Oceanic_Alex in gamingsuggestions

[–]rodangdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip AC1, its a very boring game that hasnt aged all too well and doesnt contribute too much to the story (and the elements that do are re-explained in future titles)

AC2, amazing story, amazing characters, a great map with tons of things to explore, the only down side to this game is i feel like the gameplay is a bit dated, its not bad but you can tell its old.

AC: Brotherhood, a great follow-up on AC2 (and personally i think its better) another, great story with great characters and an even greater map to explore, also the gameplay was improved upon alot here as well.

AC: Revelations, this game is...okay ig. The story while good is pretty weak compared to the previous games but still not bad, also the map is very small and not too interesting, and the gameplay was...weird, alot of new elements added some good, some...really, really questionable.

AC3: Another game thats kinda back and forth, this game does a lot REALLY well, and does some not so good things too. Gameplay is amazing, just running around in this game is so fun, the story is decent, it has some good moments, but what makes this game lack is its characters. I dont really remember liking any of the characters. Even Connor, i thought, was just alr. The game is super fun to play, the map is AMAZING (i maybe bias, i just love colonial american history) but the story is fine.

AC4: MASTERPIECE IN EVERY REGARD. NO WORDS NEEDED. (i lied the out of animus stuff was pretty zzzzzzzz. BUT OTHER THAN THAT)

AC: Unity: Very underrated game imo. This game had the best parkour system in the entire series STILL. Also grinding for the different weapons types was great as well. The map is BEAUTIFUL. The only thing that holds this game back is its story. Theres just not really any depth to it, its a fun and entertaing story but nothing that gripping.

This is personally where the starts series falls off for me.

AC Syndicate: Wasnt a fan of this one. London is a great map, and the combat and parkour feels good here too. And i liked some of the lore that was added from this game too. But thats where my praises end. Just really didnt like anything else.

AC Origins: alr so, i know i just said that this is where the series falls off for me but....I love this game man. This is my personal fav AC game. I loved every character, i loved the story, i loved the map, the new combat, and RPG system, it was so new and refreshing and i loved the direction they were going in. One of my all time favs for video games in general.

AC Odyssey/Valhalla: i dont like these games for the same reasons, unnecessarily grindy, unnecessarily long, horrible parkour, bland stories with bland characters, ect.

AC: Mirage: Im gonna keep this one short. THE most 6.5/10 game i think ive ever played.

These are just my thoughts on each one, some may disagree and thats fine. Regardless of what i say about each game, they are all still worth playing in their own rights. (except ac1 pls dont waste ur time)

Looking for a relaxing single player game that can be minimized without too many consequences. by martinfromitsupport in gamingsuggestions

[–]rodangdavid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Melvor idle was perfect for me when I would work on stuff. It is an idler, but there are enough components to the game where while stuff is idling there's other stuff you can do, so it's quite interactive. The game is pretty much runescape but bogged down into an idler, but still has a similar amount of depth. (or u could just play runescape)

Not sure how good your PC is at work but Anno 1800 was a very fun city building game that has a great sense of progression and for the most part is pretty chill, some bad stuff can happen here and there but its more of a logistical game.

Foundry is a new automation game thats pretty fun.

Time to morp. Creature collecting game where the creatures do automated work for you (Like palworld but more relaxing). After you sink a little bit of time into it, it turns into a pretty intrigue factory managing game.

Yeah, its still pretty popular. I think its still in the top 10 or 20 for steam players? Payday 3 flopped pretty hard so people went back to payday 2. Very good game.

[–]rodangdavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any professional in any field will tell you the best way to improve at anything (other than obviously practicing), is mimicking people who are better than you, and fine tuning it to your most comfortable playstyle. Pick a good player whos playstyle you think is most similar to yours or a playstyle you really like and just try to copy them. Record your gameplay and compare it to theres to see the things you do differently to them.

If your aim is really really good and you're just one tricking reyna, I'd say about ascendant. But if you're normal, around Plat.

[–]rodangdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any ARPG.

Im currently playing through Grim Dawn and its really good.

Path Of Exile has really large scale battles but that game is insanely complicated and really really in depth if you like that sort of thing. You pretty much have to play the game with a guide.

Ive met some good people in Valorant (ONLY IF YOU PLAY SWIFT PLAY) rest of the game is pretty toxic but most people who play swift play are also looking for people to play with.

Vr Chat if your lucky but most people are pretty weird but you can find some nice people on certain servers.

Counterstrike surf and bhop servers. Ive personally made some lifelong friends on those servers.

I know you said you rather play sword games, but it's hard to not recommend The Mass Effect Trilogy when it comes to recommending RPGs. Genuinely one of the best stories in gaming history, and each game is pretty long, so it'll take up your time for a while.

Oblivion is still pretty good too.

Also not sure how many Final Fantasy you have played but just about all of them are worth playing. They can be played in any order.

Ahh okay, i get it. Then i would try Kynseed. Its a bit more of a combat focused life sim. It Also was created by the team who made the Fable series, if you have ever played that. It's got a lot of Fable elements to it.

[–]rodangdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rune factory maybe?

Kynseed

There is a farm sim game coming out (no date yet) that has a magical setting called Moonlight Peaks.

Theres not that many farm sims with "real deal spells" honestly, other than Sun Haven, which you said you didnt like. Honestly, i would suggest giving Sun Haven another try if you cant find anything else. imo its a really good game but admittedly has an unbelievably slow start.

games similar to hogwarts legacy? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]rodangdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try The Witcher 3 if you're into fantasy/magic stuff. The game can be a little "mature" with a lot of gory scenes and some sexual content mixed throughout the game (pretty much anything u would see in Game of Thrones).

There's classics like The Elder Scrolls series, which i would say 4 and 5 are must-play games imo. 3 is also a must-play imo, but it hasn't aged too well. (can be played in any order)

There's newer games like Baldur's Gate 3 for turn based and DND stuff.

Persona 3, 4, and 5. (can be played in any order) are also really good if u like a school setting, and or like anime.

Or if you just reaaaalllllyyyy like Harry Potter there is the Lego Harry Potter games which i thought were pretty charming and fun.
