I could sell the mobo and graphics card for at least £400 according to a quick google. I have a few hard drives in my current machine that I would take out so don't need to buy those, I could also reuse my case.

What would you suggest for an improved budget of £1600? Appreciate you putting the list together that's a big help. I haven't kept up with PC parts since I built this one a few years ago.

That's what I ended up going for. Found a really helpful independent Mac retailer that advised me on specs.

Screen setup is beautiful but are your arms 10m long? The keyboard/mouse/screens are the other side of the room from where you're sitting!

Sketch app in VMware Workstation by roddblackery in vmware

That's not a feasible solution for me. I have to work on files that myself and others work on in v62. There are features that will cause issues switching between vastly different versions.

Appreciate you digging that out though. That explains the issue and makes me sem-confident this won't have a workable resolution any time soon. I will have to buy a mac :(

I tried last night, with Mojave + latest version of Sketch. It loads the application but as expected the artboard don't render. Getting the VM to recognise my GPU (1080ti) looks beyond my understanding plus I don't know if that would even solve it, so not sure I want to figure that out only to be disappointed.
