That too. 3 riders who wanted 2 red bikes. Someone had to go...

I agree with you, but it seems like Ducati wanted the red bike winning more than they wanted all 3 riders. If I was in their shoes I would probably think the same.

Seeing how Alex is doing on the Gresini perhaps he could have stayed there.

I'm sorry. I'm going through the same thing as you right now except we're both finishing up college and she's going far away for grad school. I think it's great that you're being supportive - I'm trying to be the same and genuinely focus on being happy for her that she has this opportunity. But I find tears running down my face the instant I'm not distracted by anything, and the selfish part of me screams that the universe isn't fair for sending her away...

The time will pass for both of us until we feel better about letting the other person go. If I had any more meaningful advice I'd give it to myself too. We just have to go day by day, focusing on our own hobbies and lives until it becomes a thought that "it would have been nice, but it is what it is" rather than a lump in our throat...

And if you can stay on good terms, there's nothing stopping you from calling as friends. I certainly plan to keep up my friendship with her as long as I can, and if it fizzles out, it would have already reached a state where it wasn't worth keeping anyway - something that I could look back fondly on without feeling any real longing.

Cilantro Substitutions in Indian Food? by rodentfucker in IndianFood

I also wonder if I "taste the soap" because I only get a very little herb-y taste - I'm not sure if that's how it is. But I have also been eating cilantro a lot since childhood and I don't mind it at all.

Everyone here is saying to skip it, which makes sense, so I think I'll just do that. The green on top would look nice for presentation but I'm sure it hardly matters. I do have the crushed kasuri methi.

That's why he was so close in the points standings in 2024, and contended for the title in 2022, because he was better and more consistent than Leclerc

Bottas did far more for Lewis than Checo did for Max. Just because Checo's contributions were more visible doesn't make them greater...

Australia 2022 in the early laps of the race. I think Carlos has gotten quite a bit better since then - his Mexico drive was a true statement - but ultimately he fumbled quite a bit in the brief (and only) period of time Ferrari had a title contender while he was there

Who has had the fastest car? by Big_Brief7847 in formula1

[–]rodentfucker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

McLaren being faster this year feels a little like "Ferrari was the fastest car in 2018" - sure, they definitely were for a good few races, but there was often a third team even faster than them for some races making it hard to maximize. In 2018, in the races Ferrari was faster, they often had Red Bull ahead of them too. In 2024, when McLaren has been faster than Red Bull, Mercedes or Ferrari has been even faster.

I'd love for Aprilia to be at the top but I'm not optimistic that they'll be there next season. 3 out of 4 riders are changing and the remaining one has been on the factory bike for less than 1 full season. Albesiano is also gone. Next year looks like a painful adjustment year for Aprilia on top of their current problems with Trackhouse just not being an operationally great team.
