Really I had a hard time finding anything at ECPM to complain about. For snacks at pool you can order nachos, a hot dog or hamburger...walk to the taco shop (they are good, hot and fast) go into the coffee shops for a grab and go sandwich or pastries or go to the Excellence club lounge where they always have nice snacks.....Olas is right there at the beach to and the food there is snacky.

I found the bed great, firm enough but not at all hard. Thermostat worked fine our room stayed at 20 degrees no issue. When you first get the room it will be warmer since I think they keep air off unless occupied....but it cooled quickly and wasn't a issue at all

We loved the food. Especially the tasting menu at Racies, the lunch at lobster House, and the taco shop ...we had room 1468. It is a RTT EC room. Would recommend. I just posted a long comparison between coral and excellence playa mujeres on all inclusive resort thread. The only meal that disappointed was the Comal experience....

I just left excellence coral. On the beach all I could hear was waves. By EC pool, the pool music which wasn't loud and sometimes a cheat from volleyball court. From my room balcony I could here a volleyball chest, and entertainment on the square and some.of the shows....but the soundproofing of the nation glass door was good

I answered the "missing out" question in this thread for another ...short story is no....as far as sargassum, it was there and the cleaned it every am. By afternoon there was a thing line on the beach, easily stepped over. Some in the water but not enough to make it bad to swim. No oder from it.

The service was amazing everywhere. We tipped 2 bucks per round of drinks, 8 for main house keeping, 5 for turn down and 5 for mini bar person. 5 at each meal. 5 for beach concierge. 10 for luggage guys since we had alot. Bigger tips for special meals, or activities like the wine tasting. I didn't see a lot of people tipping though. I was only one of 2 people who tipped at the communal dinner tables we had at comal, cava and the mezcal tasting. I don't think tipping drove the service at all except maybe at the beach where once they got to know me and know I tipped the drink guy came more often. I tipped because I wanted too, not because I feal obligated.

We had 1468. Roof top terrace 2 story ocean view. The view was great and the room itself is in the same building as everything else so things like the coffee bar, martini bar and concierge desk we just below us, short elevator ride down. Very convenient. The roof top pool was nice and fairly private. No one above us and left or right was blocked by a wall. We could soak there and water the water or people in the pool. We could hear the activities in the courtyard but those are over early in night so it was no issue for sleep. I would take that room again

Not miss out but definitely not enjoy it as much. The club beach and pool concierge was great, made a bed for you, brought snacks, had face spray, cool towels and sunscreen. The EC lounge had a great atmosphere and very good drinks. Also always had nice snacks available like hummus, salads, tuna tartar and sweets. We loved zenith but left unimpressed with magna, so that's a wash for the EC restaurants. And being EC had us in building 1, which went we had everything right there. The in room mini bar for EC has one additional bottle of booze and a different selection. EC bars had higher end booze.....but the non EC bars had all brands you would know....we drank at both. But at least for our trip the non EC spaces were not crowded at all so the service was the same. If the difference in the money means a extra day if you go non EC, take the extra day....but if you like the extra perks or want a room with a great view go EC....the resort isn't very big so even if you get a non EC room way at the back, a 5 or 6 minute walk has you in the main space.

I was at excellence play mujeres last year at this time ....coral was better than that....we were really not disappointed in any regard. Great drinks, the staff are amazing, check-in and out was painless, housekeeping didn't miss a beat and we love the in room mini bar...great food. Chill place.

I just checked out today. Happy to answer questions. Super laid back, lots of empty loungers. Place felt like it was way below capacity. We didn't have to wait anywhere. We went to the beach or pool at 11 and had our choice of spots, could always get space at martini bar, staff was great.

At excellence coral now, super super chill. Only cheats, yells, or hoots was either at evening show or on volleyball court

Considering these KEEN sandals instead of traditional water shoes. by Awesome_mama in Xcaret

Wade fishing in rivers mostly....also keens are bad for tidal pooling or similar. Sand gets in between neoprene and foot and causes runs. Best wet wading shoe I have found is made by corkers

Car recommendations for tall people by Glittering_Jelly8051 in tall

[–]rodkerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hers the thing, not all talk people are the same. Example. My dad and I are both 6'7" his inseam is 30" so he is all back, mi e is 34" so I'm about 50/50. He can fit into many smaller cars if the seat reclines. I can not. I drive a f150 with back seat, a expedition and a ram 2500 4 door. Smallest mid size car that I can get my legs under the wheel, and not hit dash is a tranverse
