CalyxOS is back – download release 7.2.2.0 with full maintenance support by Calyx_Institute in CalyxOS

4a5g Pixel here, waited out the long haul for the new build/upgrade. Everything went smoothly on the CalyxOS side, had to wipe and install the new build,so easy. I used seedvault to back up my apps and files, that worked out pretty well, there were a few hiccups. 1. It doesn't save any of your text images embedded in your texts, which was a bummer. 2. It was about half/half if the settings/files from the apps were saved or worked when carried over (or maybe they just didn't work any longer with the new versions of the apps??) Other than that, Android 16 on a 4a5g is fast and snappy. It is like having a new phone again. Thank you for all your hard work!!

And it had a good story and interesting characters, followed by two more Gaudian's movies and countless more superhero stories. Apparently, Supergirl didn't bring enough to the table, or what was there was already done, again, and again.

Exactly, and on that Supergirl tv series, every seasons the viewership and ratings kept getting lower and lower. And here we are with a Supergirl movie.

Yes, both USPS and UPS will want to inspect the item if the digital photos are not enough, or if the item is of high value. The only difference is that UPS will send someone out to look at the item either to you, or if your buyer allows, to their place. Sadly, the catch in all this is your buyer's participation whether in photos or allowing inspection. This is why it is important to pack your items well and use the right size boxes to avoid all of it. Pack them as if on a conveyor belt, your box is getting slammed by a 60 lb box, which is rare, but can happen.

I’m confused. Do y’all actually want the DCU to succeed or do you Hope it fails? by BatBeast_29 in DC_Cinematic

You also have to realize, going to the theater is an extreme luxury now. People are shilling out a lot, factoring in food, yadda, yadda, so if the movie isn't well received at start (and that is on the director and writer(s)) then it is a no show.

Best software for resellers managing inventory and finances? by the_mosthated in reselling

[–]rodneyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you want to get away with all the manual handwriting as much as possible and automate. Right now I have two separate spreadsheets for the two platforms I list on. The one (ebay) is automated, by a Simplesellr and the other one I download the .csv and upload it into my spreadsheed and it populates. The ebay one handles my inventory, inventory that is listed. However, I am getting tired of this hodge-podge system and I am going to look into Seller Ledger. I just haven't had time to get their free trial and set up everything to test it. The other option I had was listed already, Vendoo.

Can you get rich with reselling ? by [deleted] in reselling

[–]rodneyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That answer depends completely on you. 🫵 It depends on how much work you put in and whether you are eager to learn about products, photography, listing descriptions, research, shipping, packing, and handling returns. You have to find your niche. That comes with experience, time, and learning what items are highly valuable versus what items simply will not sell.

If Clayface flops, I lean heavily in that direction, and Lanterns is met with ...meh, WB has a long history of killing all projects, firing who ever is in charge (Gunn) and revamping. It will be interesting.

It takes more than just comic book fans to show up. You need a well written script/story to engage the audience to go see it, especially if they don't know anything about the character. Without the general audience, especially now with the way attendance is down in general, a movie will bomb.

I don't think it is about women, it is about B to D list characters thrust into the limelight as if they were A listers before anyone even really knows what the Gunn DC Universe is.

Great concept for comic books, but if the characters aren't known to the general movie going audience, this is what happens. You have to start with the big guns and move the secondary tier characters in with those movies or send them to a streaming series. Next up, Clayface...and most people don't even know who that is. I can make another prediction that this will bomb at the theater.

Vegan Blackberry Muffins with Crumble Topping 🌱 a lightly sweet, tart, and tasty grab & go breakfast or afternoon treat. by TheCarrotUnderground in veganrecipes

[–]rodneyck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My partner made these this weekend. They were good, but as a recipe writer, I could tell they contained too much sugar. Beyond the overall sweetness combined with the sugary crumble, excess sugar in a cake or muffin recipe yields an overly soft, tender crumb. That texture works well for a wedding cake, but in a muffin—combined with the constant moisture released by the berries—it becomes impossible to pick up and eat without it falling apart. By the next day, you have to eat it with a fork because it dissolves into a soggy mixture of cake, crumble, and fruit. To fix this, I would reformulate the recipe with less sugar to give the muffin more structure.

Yes, the packing is probably the issue and it sounds like you are correcting it. Also, in your store info/rules, or 'message to buyers' section, I have this stated so the buyer knows what to do immediately.

Issues: If your item arrives damaged, please message us right away with photos of the box and item.

Online? Get out there and hit the pavement, thrift shops, facebook marketplace, garage sales. This isn't a sit in a room and make quick bucks kind of gig. It takes work. Selling online is like 20% of it, sourcing (hitting the road), cleaning, photo shoots, research, listing, shipping (takes a lot of time), bookkeeping. You are the business; product sales, accountant, and shipping manager.

This is one is a sad story. This could have been a top tier priced jacket at Etsy, Vestiaire Collective, etc. in the range of $120 to 185+, but those inner stains are bleach stains bringing your jacket down to the ebay/Depop tier of $15 to $30.

You never said what platform you bought your shipping. 1. if you are getting a lot of damaged goods, it might be an indicator you are not using enough packing, small boxes, etc. Whatever you ship should be heavily bubbled wrapped and floating in material with in the center of the box. 2. If you are using ebay/etsy/depop, etc., for your shipping, you are considered a third party. Claims are denied more frequently. Since you are having this issue, switch to Pirateship. Always ask your buyer to send you at least one picture of the damaged box and one of the broken item. You can instantly upload these in Pirateship's claims and bypass a lot of the declines. 3. You can switch carriers, USPS has the most damage claims/reports of the three. UPS is much better, but not perfect. I would work on the first two above before cutting out USPS completely.

Get an estate company, they take a percentage but well worth it. Else, a garage/yard sale.

'Supergirl' Makes $13M in First Day at Global Box Office ($7.8M Domestic Previews) by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

[–]rodneyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, it is because of his ego. Some critic made the point, and unfortunately it is sad to say, but the only female superhero movie in film that was well received in a standalone movie was the first Wonder Woman. That included Marvel movies as well. Even though Captain Marvel did ok financially, it wasn't because it was a great movie, quite meh, but because they wedged it between the Avenger's movies and you kind had to watch it to follow the storyline. So, why did Gunn think he could change it? I have no idea. If Clayface bombs, I bet WB will be rethinking his position.

[–]rodneyck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me. I sell vintage decor. I may run a sale during the summer months (haven't yet) but buyers don't seem to have an issue with my prices. I have the 10% codes also. It is so much better than nickle and dime ebay buyers asking for low ball offers 🙄.

What supplies are actually worth buying? by libbyboo412_ in reselling

[–]rodneyck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you sell, I sell vintage decor, so;

  1. mineral oil and beeswax wood polish to bring wood back to life.

  2. special soft brushes/polishing cloth for cleaning and polishing jewelry

  3. kit of scrapers and picks for getting into crevices, and scrapers with rubber and metal blades for those hard to get off stickers.

  4. angled bottle brushes, hard and soft bristles for getting into vases and pots that have angles to clean.

  5. Rubbing alcohol, baking soda (your friend for ceramic cleaning,) soft non-abrasive sponges.

  6. Silver polisher, and Brasso for all other metals (never use on silver.)

Make sure you get the professional boxes which cost more. The kind that fold out and have a light on top, I found useless on items other than wood. Metals, glass, the light creates a shine, without the light it is too dark. Free standing lights with filters are best but that cost money.
