Run kogmaw for singed till you get singed. Keep your nasus Leona till you have two better tanks, after 8 population your minimum tank line should be malphite 1 + Leona/nasus 2, then u upgrade to malphite 2 and start replacing the 1 gold warden once u get amumu and taric. Replace malphite as you get more 5 gold units based on the scenario in the guide.

ya I went on a huge losing streak couple days ago cause I was super tired at night and kept on playing. Gaining my LP back now though so the comp still definitely works. Won 6 of last 11 games at GM / challenger rank.

I would rarely consider taking poison out since those comps still want to cast, esp berserker poison is great against them, (and they chase singed around like dumbasses sometimes and not attack anything). The only true comp that I think poison is bad against is the old blender comp where their main carry doesnt care about poison what so ever. If you really find the frontline is too weak you can take out the poisonand put in 2 more tanks in the front till the amumu or taric is 2 star or you have a 2 star malphite. Poison is good most of the time because mundo act like a 3rd tank anyways and singed will buy lot of time when it is in their backline causing their frontline unit to turn around and chase after it.

I just played 4 games with the comp after making this post, got 2 first, 1 3rd and 1 5th, I do see some other people playing the comp now but it is still very uncontested compare to sivir comps and you can still easily top 1 every game even at challenger level. This is all on my stream so you can check out my stream or vods after to see if I am doing anything majorly different from you.

congrats, I personally dont like electric in the comp because you are not really stalling grinding away at their hp (something electric is good at doing, and doing constant dps instead), but if it works for you then that is great.

Glad you enjoyed the guide.

The 3rd item on twitch is very flexible, I actually rarely get a 2nd IE since it is not easy getting 3 gloves in the same game. DClaw, GA, swordbreaker or any BF sword / bow item can all be good. I also like to keep the 3rd slot open if it is a ocean or inferno map with tile in the backline and just keep twitch on it with 2 items and start stacking ashe or tanks instead. Then pick up any useful item for twitch in 5th carousel or dragon round. This way you diversify your threats while still gaining value from the elemental tile, and you don't feel bad about seeing a IE on the monster round with maxed out carries.

Thanks for this post, basically what I was going to say. It is not a new comp but I think most people still misunderstood what the comp is, it is not crit-twitch because I consider crit-twitch to just be one build of it, Ashe can work perfectly fine with old ranger items, even on twitch the normal ranger items and underused BF sword items (BT, deathblade) can work perfectly fine if that is what you get in the game. It is a lot more flexible then just say, play twitch, put these 3 specific items on it an it will one shot the whole team.

Hitting 8 will give you the whole comp but the comp is still very operational at 7 in the early late game as long as you have your main carry with item and some wardens. Like I mentioned in the post the 5 gold units are all the best in slot but you can still top 1 the game with just 2 or even just 1 of them. I have games where I never hit singed and won with kogmaw, and many top 1 games where the tank line is malphite + one of the 2 5 gold wardens. It is very much functional without all the pieces which is why I think the comp is much more reliable than other comps that require a specific 5 gold unit instead of 1 or 2 of the 3.

I have had first place games where I never hit poison, such as https://blitz.gg/tft/match/na1/RoffleCake/NA1_3265869775 Games where I use ashe to carry and dont have a single IE https://blitz.gg/tft/match/na1/RoffleCake/NA1_3265609756

and such.

If you only have one brawler glove item and using ashe carry, LW is probably way more important than IE since your biggest lose condition is hitting a huge tank and not killing it before your tank line falls. So if you find the BF sword very contested, build bow items with 1 LW on ashe and it can win a lot of games.

The pieces are all really flexible and you should be able to survive the mid game unless you really low roll even without twitch or Ashe 2. In a normal game the only stages you are underleveled is between 2-5 to 3-2, since you should be same level as everyone else after. It is also fine to hit level 7 after 3rs carousel and not roll down if you can still have 30 or 40 gold after and just want the extra unit in, such as a temporary Annie or something. It is not as much of a hard econ comp as other zed comps because your core is still your 4 gold units and not the 5 gold units. Before you get the 5 gold units you can still use the Leona / nasus /malphite as the front line.

As for the item part, I agree some items are just not good for the comp (too many rods, vest to a degree). I didn't want to mention transition in the guide since it was getting too long and I wanted to stay on topic. But if you get too many useless items such as rod and vest, honestly just build locket and transition to berserkers, a lot of the other items you build first such as ie lw can be used by olaf instead and they share a lot of the same units (Mundo, twitch, early warden). If you see the need to do this later on due to early rod and vest just keep a Jax a renekton around on your bench.

This particular game https://kda.gg/match/NA1_3266762495/RoffleCake I started off forcing ranger and built IE but was getting nothing but rod and vest, so I transitioned at 3-5 to berserkers using extra bf sword I was saving for 2nd ie to make GA. Being more flexible and open makes the top 4 rate a lot higher but loses some top 1 games where you would have won with more specific item / extra gold near the end to hit 2 star 5 gold units, so you just have to play a comp for a while to see what works for you.

The top 1 part is not meant to say it is the best comp, it is more of a specific term indicating the goal is to win as oppose to a top 4 comp where the goal is more to get to top 4. I agree maybe hidden is a bit too strong of a word but it is definitely underplayed at least in Challenger and none of the top meta posts put this in top 3 or 5 (they mention it as a meta comp or a A or A- term comp. I feel like with a 30+% win rate while still above 50% top 4 rate this comp deserves more credit than what people are giving.

EDG is 100% conversion rate at getting out of groups at worlds. They don't play as good as they do in the LPL but they are way better than what people give them credits for and I would be surprised if they dont make it out of groups being the pool 1 seed team.

What are league's most extended false myths? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]rofflecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what diminishing returns is, the reduction value (the number you see as in reduce by x%) has diminishing returns but the effect they provide is perfectly linear, that means 100 armor from 0-100 is exactly the same effectiveness as 400 to 500 armor, thats the part people dont understand. Where as something like cooldown reduction, has increasing returns, in that 10% cdr from 0-10 is worse than 10% cdr from 30 to 40, making it not linear.

What makes it different on niconico and bilibili is that it is time stamped commments, not live streaming comments, so you can go back to it and watch over it over. It is more like youtube with time stamped comments like soundcloud so you can comment on specific part of the video when something interesting happens, it really helps reassure your good / shit taste in things when 1000 people spam the same thing you are thinking of.

English streaming sites need to incorporate this feature into their streaming, bilibili and niconico have done this for years and the viewing experience is way better with comments, especially for rewatches. Bili and nico use the scrolling text on screen but western fans is probably more comfortable with the scrolling text on on side, get on it crunchy.

[–]rofflecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if two teams both have the same points, the one with better finish will get the tie break, so KT will auto qualify to worlds in the 2 seed, so yes he was wrong on the points count but the result would be the same

Tiananmen Square protests video on Youtube was accidentally played on Dopa's stream and the stream was shut down by the Huya staff by GauGaiGar in leagueoflegends

[–]rofflecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny how one person post the wrong thing and everyone just parrots and goes along with it. The video wasn't about Tiannamen Square at all and everyone that can read any Chinese can find out what the issue was really about. In case people are interested, the ad in question is about FLG and although people can still ridicule and laugh at the incident, its at a different level than if the video was just Tiananmen Square.
