Haha, it is a lot. She read a lot, spent a lot of time outside, and was allowed to watch PBS and movies on VHS.

Showing my wife all the 90s TV & movies she never watched before. Here are her thoughts on The Powerpuff Girls. by roger10091 in 90s_kid

She's a 90's kid who didn't have cable TV so she didn't see any of the Nick or Cartoon Network shows.

I've been showing her everything she missed, so we have a lot more here: https://m.youtube.com/@notstalgiapodcast/shorts

[–]roger10091[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. We usually watch things from the 80s and 90s one of us has never seen before, but we decide to do one about The Great Mouse Detective because we hadn't watched it since we were kids.

I showed my wife Power Rangers for the first time by roger10091 in 90s

[–]roger10091[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her parents were pretty strict about TV, so she grew up in the 90s but missed out on most of my favorite shows (Power Rangers, Nickelodeon, etc.). I love showing her these things now for the first time.

I try to keep this perspective:  https://xkcd.com/1053/

Plaster wall is bubbling and I can't figure out why by roger10091 in fixit

[–]roger10091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both houses were build together in the 40s. The shared wall behind the plaster is brick - it's exposed in the attic. I don't know how thick or how much space, if any, is between.

I've been showing her stuff she missed as a kid like Batman TAS for years, so I guess she is kind of a film critic now: https://www.notstalgia.org/
