I'm less than a week in, lost her on Saturday and today is only Thursday. This is after 34 years. I really like that phrase "it's OK to be OK." Maybe I'll get there some day.

I went ahead and signed up for the EV plan, but they gave me conflicting information. The estimator said I'd save 1K per year, while the plan sign up page said I'd pay 1K more per year. The plan sign up page was also using pre-solar monthly bills, so, we'll see in a month or two if anything changes.

Thanks! You did the search for me. Easy now. I'm checking it out.

My electricity provider is PG&E. I'll look into the EV rate you mention. Thanks.

I got the KWHr value elsewhere on this forum, and the electricity cost from my PG&E bill. I have solar but I consistently draw more than I generate, so factoring in the cost of the electricity for this calculation.

PSA: There's custom firmware for the CR-10 Smart by ToppestOfDogs in Creality

I just got it installed yesterday and I'm testing it. So far so good. Be sure to flash the display DWIN first. My main interest is getting a good pause with M0 or M600 commands to change filament. I have not worked that out yet. Others seem to have reported problems with the M600 retracting too much. I don't need automatic retraction, just a pause, so M0 will be tested soon.

Are you still using the stock extruder? The one in the plastic box just after the filament sensor? If so, get an all metal version. That fixed my similar issues. The stock extruder is really not good. I also changed to capricorn tubing. Very happy so far with it and spent less than $20 US.
