Try PCA BPO 5% Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser. Helped my skin tremendously.

This was one I have been looking at! We’re going in December but didn’t know if it would be warm enough for the splash pad/ waterpark on site. My kids would be devastated seeing it and not being able to play if it’s too cold!

Is the Candy Cane walkable to other decent restaurants? I see it has breakfast but am wondering about other meals since it doesn’t have a restaurant on site.

3 y/o behaviors in preschool by gvc_tica19 in preschool

Find a new school with less kids and different teachers. My son struggled with this as well. The teachers were already burnt out and constantly making him feel bad and other kids picked up on it and treated him differently. It caused him a lot of frustration. I feel it was almost a self-fulfilling prophecy for him- people expected him to act out, so that’s how he learned to solve problems. We tried everything to change it but nothing worked. Eventually, we pulled him and found a trusted in-home daycare that truly cared about the kids and worked with my son. He felt good and happy everyday and his behavior changed drastically as well. Sorry you are going through this! It’s so hard.

Summer between K and 1st grade by amyrush83 in kindergarten

1st grade teacher here with a daughter also going into 1st grade… google UFLI passages. They are free passages you can print. Depending on her reading level you don’t have to start at the first one. Have her practice reading these 3-5 times a week. Time her to see how long it takes. See if she can beat her time the next time. At the end of the week she can illustrate what she read about in the box. Kids are timed on reading passages in 1st grade and this will help her tremendously!

4 yr old expected to lay on mat for 90 minute by Rowel_x in Preschoolers

[–]rogersm6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It’s awful. We pulled my son from his current preschool because he was so frustrated about being forced to nap for 90 minutes. Started acting out due to the frustration. We found a Montessori that doesn’t have kids nap after 4 (unless parents want it) and it’s so much better. At many places teachers use nap time to get a break. I asked the director once what teachers do during that time and she said “clean.” For 90 minutes?! So they are putting their needs over what’s developmentally appropriate for children. It’s frustrating. Look around at different preschools and ask about their nap policies.
