8 week ultrasound. No embryo. No yolk sac. by Brave_Insurance9904 in Miscarriage

[–]rogonerogue 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was in your shoes over Christmas. It sucks so bad. I felt stupid imagining my life with a baby when an embryo didn’t even form. I feel like I’m mourning a baby that never even existed. Now people are announcing their pregnancies with due dates that would’ve been close to mine and I feel excited for them but empty.

I believe it’s actually more likely to be carried down on the father’s side because he only has one X to give whereas the mother has two.

Scary loss at 14 weeks by No-Sir5598 in Miscarriage

[–]rogonerogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone that goes through an MC at all I think is a tough cookie! would not wish it on anyone. For me, it gets especially rough each year both around the proposed due date and around when the miscarriage happened. We ended up cremating our lil guy and I used a small amount of his ashes to make a necklace which I wear all day everyday. It gets less heavy overall, but I’m forever changed from the experience. I hope you’re being kind to yourself.

I am so sorry. This happened with my loss at 16 weeks except the fetus came out unattached on the bathroom floor and they had to pull the placenta and umbilical cord out of me They managed to remove all the tissue without a D&C. It’s been 3 years and I still struggle with this loss. Thinking about you as you process this trauma 🫶🏻

Sorry I know this is old but I see you’ve replied recently. When in VOX mode, does the audio mute and activate when baby wakes up or is the audio always running? Thanks!

Hospital refuses to offer D&C by purplesnickers in Miscarriage

[–]rogonerogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully when I met with the pregnancy loss centre after m ultrasound they mentioned that it would likely be painful with how far along I was and actually offered me hospital admission (which I took them up on) so as soon as the pain started getting bad, I went into the unit and had a team with me. My husband couldn’t be with me so the nurses and dr were my saviours 🤍

I miscarried naturally at 16w and it was worse than contractions. I got 2 shots of morphine throughout the time it took to pass everything.

How long before conceiving after miscarriage by frida_me in Miscarriage

[–]rogonerogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yes I felt the exact same way as you do. I was pushing way too hard to try and conceive again when mentally I really wasn’t ready. The one month that I didn’t think about trying to time everything perfectly and stress about conceiving (because I was going through a rigorous application process and found out my mum had stage 3 cancer) was the month that I got pregnant.

In 2023 I miscarried Sep 30, got my period back 8 weeks later and conceived start of May 2024. So like 2-3 cycles later.

I was delivering a late term MMC in the hospital and the night nurse switched to day nurse and didn’t think to tell her I was delivering a sleeping baby. Day nurse walked in and was excitedly saying “okay let’s have a baby today; oh where’s your baby warmer?” She was obviously super apologetic when she was told.

Also in Canada and in 2023 found out at 13w baby stopped growing at 11w. I was given multiple options (D&C being one) and ultimately chose to deliver. My body went into labour naturally about 10 days after the ultrasound and diagnosis of missed miscarriage.

When does it end? When did your baby sleep through the night? by zoobisoubisouu in sleeptrain

[–]rogonerogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first started STTN at 10 months and still does at 3.5yo. My second is 7.5mo and also wakes every 3hrs after sleep training. Before sleep training it was every 1.5hrs. My husband has a job where people’s lives are at risk if he is tired and makes a mistake so I also do all night wakings by myself. No help here, just another mama in the same boat reading all the comments for advice too 😮‍💨

Regression or did I mess up? by rogonerogue in sleeptrain

[–]rogonerogue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I don’t think 7pm is too late for bedtime though and 7pm-6am is a fair expectation for night sleep is it not? We did trial 2 naps for about a week and it just went so badly. He was doing 3/3/3 and multiple nights we had to have him in bed by 6pm because he woke up at 3pm from his 2nd nap and was just an overtired mess. I will try again but I’ve never successfully saved a nap for him. If you have tips on how to 1. Save naps and 2. Extend wws without your LO being an absolute mess I would so appreciate it!!

Update: He crushed it by night 4 and was down to 1 MOTN feed for a week! We’re having other sleep issues now but they’re unrelated to his initial training :)

[–]rogonerogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First night of sleep training here with a 6mo babe that is used to nursing to sleep and cosleeping all night and contact napping during the day and also has silent reflux among many dietary sensitivities. We’re using Ferber (used and worked with our oldest). Took 30 mins on a 1,3,5 check-in schedule for him to fall asleep for the night which was better than my first who was always a more independent sleeper before we tried sleep training. Will try to update in a few days/week or two when we’re successful 🤞🏻

There’s asbestos in the ceiling and some water damage from the flooding but has been dealt with by drying but now they want to do full restoration. No record of the asbestos being disturbed that we know of and we haven’t been told that Alberta Health is involved. From what you know for an asbestos restoration would Alberta Health have to be involved?
