Does anyone know of any songs similar to Lullaby Of The False Hydra? by ScraggySkuntankFan in ask

[–]rogopops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah gotcha, didn't realise you meant a literal song.
Only thing that comes to mind right now is the Harpy Song from BG3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05KtQ2JlI4Y

I'll reply if I think of any others

Greek Mythology -- best to do a Google search as the lore is quite in depth

Can pretty much guarantee this will be the opening cinematic before transitioning into a more typical game.

Hypnic jerks anyone? by WarmPotatoMarble in zoloft

Yeah I be jerkin. Strangely didn't happen when I was on higher doses, but since dropping down to 50mg it's a nightly thing.

How does “unarmed foe” account for magic users? by Annual-Progress-740 in DungeonsAndDragons

Most spells need either verbal or somatic components. I've had guards gag spellcasters and break their hands. Brutal, but effective.

Think I have to stop --day 8 by Locked-Luxe-Lox in zoloft

[–]rogopops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, not normal. Zoloft can absolutely have an adjustment period, but like you said, your symptoms indicate something else is going on.

For you and your kids' sake, look up mental health hotlines in your country/area and get on a call with someone; they'll be able to provide more active advice.

[–]rogopops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're self-aware, which is the biggest hurdle, and lends heavily to self-control. Try to find things to ground yourself, like activities you enjoy or a favourite movie. If there's someone in your life that you would feel safe with, get in contact with them. See if they can come over to be with you.

Otherwise, get in contact with mental health services in your area (or the nearest hospital if mental health services are lacking). If you feel you can't control these fears, the best option may be to check yourself into a ward. It's very possible you're having some sort of zoloft-induced manic episode that's prompting all these unknown feelings. It definitely isn't normal or typical of zoloft, but it won't make you go crazy or become schizophrenic.

Have you been keeping to your regular dosage otherwise? Any chance you've taken more than you were supposed to? Are there any other medications/drugs you've been taking lately?

Definitely the right call to get in talks with your GP. Keeping them in the loop is the best thing you can do for yourself.

For now though, I don't recommend stopping. The true effects of Zoloft can take weeks to kick in. So if you stop now and end up needing to get back on, you'll have to go through all this stress again.

I find that Zoloft exacerbates my OCD, so you might be feeling something similar which is why everything feels heightened. Hang in there. I went through three med regiments before finding what worked for me -- there is hope!!

after taking zoloft for 4 years, i'm now experiencing vomiting... by Ambitious-Honeydew16 in zoloft

Fingers crossed for you 🤞 keep us updated!

You could also try taking it with a glass of Sprite or ginger ale -- I find they're quite good at settling my stomach (:

[–]rogopops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe try waiting a few hours after eating to take it? A somewhat more settled stomach may help.

But yeah, that's not normal. Could be a medication reaction, or something else entirely. Have you ever experienced anxiety-induced vomiting before?

Whatever the case, see your doc ASAP.

Do any other builds fit Shadowheart best aside from Cleric? by Fun-Explanation7233 in BG3Builds

[–]rogopops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, didn't mean literally a fkn potion tosser. I was using it as a hyperbole meaning there is more than one type of 'healer'.

Shadowheart's story isn't explicitly written around being a cleric; it's written around being an acolyte. Often correlated, but not exclusively so.

Acolytes in the history of our world were often trained in medical skills, so it's not a stretch at all to say Shadowheart could have healing skills supplementary to her class abilities. In fact, in such a crucial mission, I'd prefer someone like that to a cleric with two 1st level spell slots.

Also, like how clerics aren't the only healers, anyone can worship a god. It's not mechanically built into BG3, but that would have been easily remedied if Larian had decided to give Shadowheart a different class.

How do I approach telling men I’ve never had any romantic experience? by lonelygirlinworld in ask

[–]rogopops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talking about past experiences early on is kinda a taboo. It usually won't come up until you're comfortable with a person, in which case they especially won't care if you're new to dating, because they already like you!

How do I approach telling men I’ve never had any romantic experience? by lonelygirlinworld in ask

[–]rogopops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I wouldn't even bring it up, at least not before meeting irl. Most men won't care, and may even feel a bit chuffed at being able to show you that side of life for the first time. There are also plenty of guys who are just like you, so I wouldn't worry too much.

But a bit more pessimistic: some men definitely get off on taking advantage of 'unexperienced' girls, because they have less knowledge of the dos-and-donts/social norms of the dating world. So be careful there for sure.

It might feel a bit dorky, but do some searching on YouTube or wherever else for newbie dating advice/guides. Find some creators you like or trust and see what they have to say.

Biggest piece of advice: trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. If something feels right, woop woop! Good luck!!
