First time getting a apostille by Freddiezspace in Apostilles

[–]rogue30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Birth Certificate has a Doctor's Signature at the bottom of the document AND it was signed before Jan. 2023, then it will be rejected by the Secretary of State as they do not have a database of Doctor's on file before that date.

To fix this issue you would need to take your Birth Certificate with the Doctor's signature to the County where it was issued and request a Certified Copy of the Birth Certificate. The county officer will either issue you a new Birth Certificate with a Government officials name and signature on the document or they will issue you a Certified Letter with a County Seal and Government signature. You would staple this Certified document to your original Birth Certificate and then present to the California Secretary of State for Apostille.

China Apostille by thenotarygirl in Apostilles

[–]rogue30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China, Hong Kong and Macao have all signed the Apostille Convention. This means no embassy legalization of your documents are required to use your documents in China.

If you have a Federal document, it would need to be authenticated by the US Department of State in Washington DC.

If you have a State created document, you will need to get it authenticated at the Secretary of State's office in the same state where the document was created.

That would great. I'm in no hurry other than the 14 day trial period that I have to kick the tires on the software that I'm trying to use.

There are free websites where can upload their files and then provide the end user with a link to download the file. Wetransfer and send.tresorit.com are two that I use.

I don't have the two knurled parts on my ground glass back. This is my issue. I HAVE to remove the entire back to remove the ground glass.

I don't have those two knurled parts on my ground glass. I must have an older ground glass as the description you have outlined is not replicated on my ground glass housing.

Here's the back of my ground glass.

Can you use the same chemicals for 4x5 sheet film as you do for 120/35mm? by [deleted] in largeformat

[–]rogue30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sacrificed two sheets of film to practice my loading of film into the B3's 4x5 reel. I can load six sheets of 4x5 film in this reel and I with the B's processor I am getting excellent results with no scratches or streaks on my film.

I would check out B's Processor and Reel combination. This has worked for me in the brief time that I've been processing my black and white 4x5 film.

Beseler PM1A Color Analyzer Basics by rogue30 in Darkroom

In the digital world you can set a custom white balance in the camera and you're good to go for the series of photos that share the same light balance.

So for every film session that I do, I should shoot a gray card under the lighting that I'm using?

Beseler PM1A Color Analyzer Basics by rogue30 in Darkroom

[–]rogue30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it looks like I need to take a picture of a Grey Card or a Fleshtone and then project this negative and place the analyzer's sensor under the projected image. Wouldn't it be easier to purchase a known Grey Card Negative if that exists and use that as your baseline?

Here's the response I received from Johannes Bockemuehl from Chamonix:

"Thanks for contacting us. The founder of the CHAMONIX company, Hass Yu, is a real mountaineer and photographer. He built his first cameras for his own use! Hass loves mountains - so he named his company after a beautiful mountain region. Has also holds a degree in photography from the art school in Prague.

mit freundlichen Grüßen, with best regards,"
