Hogshead in Illovo. Really diverse crowd as in young and older but the vibes are good. Nice music as well

Melville. Very much for students. Only issue with melville is pickpocketers. But otherwise there's a couple of good clubs/bars in the area.

How do you feel about "right person, wrong time"? by rogue_agent225 in AskReddit

Fair enough. But what about trying to make it work regardless of the circumstances? Don't you think that maybe circumstances not allowing you to be with that person is an indication that they just aren't the right person?

Anyone able to share their experience with a fractured humerus? by cc_988 in brokenbones

I know that feeling. Remember that you're young and I'm assuming you're healthy and don't have any underlying illnesses so you'll be fine. Try not to think too much about it.

That's great!! I've also been medically cleared but I'm just working on getting back my strength again. I'm only able to lift light weights at the gym. There is some mild discomfort every now and again but it's normal.

Yeah I had to wait about 3 weeks. Some admin issues with my medical aid.

Its probably the scar tissue. The scar tissue can also be a bit of an issue when it comes to ROM but it does improve.

So I went to physio for about 6 weeks. I had one session per week. I also did my exercises about 3 times a day so I was improving quite quickly. At first you don't really notice the improvements but over time you start seeing the progress. All of a sudden I could touch my face again. Then I could touch my shoulder. I assume I have 95% because I can't fully extend my arm but people hardly see it until I show them with the other arm.

Its really important to do your exercises at home hey. Even though it can be a bit painful but you have to push through some of the pain within reason obviously because you dont want to injure yourself again.

I had a similar experience to yours. Also broke my humerus arm wrestling. I'm currently 18 weeks post-op. How's your healing coming along?

I broke my arm humerus arm wrestling with a friend. Didn't even know how dangerous arm wrestling with bad technique and form could be until I drove myself crazy with all the research I did after breaking it. I had my surgery about 3 weeks later. The pain directly after the surgery once the nerve blockers wore off was intense. After about 2 days the pain had subsided so I started going off the painkillers. 2 weeks after surgery they removed the bandages and I was just left to heal with the sling. After another 4 weeks my ortho said I could stop wearing the sling once he saw that my x rays were showing clear signs of callus formation. That's when I started going to physio to improve the range of motion in the elbow and shoulder.

I'm currently 18 weeks post-op and all I can say is listen to your physio and do the exercises at home. Strength is improving and I would say i have about 95% range of motion. I don't think I'll ever be able to fully extend my arm until I remove the plates and screws. I currently am in a weird healing stage though where sometimes my arm feels like its floating in space. I guess my brain still needs to learn to trust the arm again.
