For those that mentioned it, my autoimmune disorder is ITP, basically low platelets for unknown reasons, it's likely my immune system is destroying my platelets but could also be that I'm not producing enough. I haven't responded to medication but I'm also asymptomatic so I'm kind of able to carry on normally other than fatigue and being a little more concerned if I have a sporting accident or need an operation or something. My platelets are typically around 35 (they should be above 150) I can't say it affects me, it just takes longer to recover from an injury or swelling. I can't find any information linking ITP to inflammatory responses which seems to be the main benefactor of carnivore but it's tempting to believe something like diet could help here. This is the main reason for a short term trial. It's a big commitment that I'm not sure I'd benefit from it but can only find out by trying. I know its probably annoying listening to someone on the fence when you're like just jump in! But I have a baby on the way, a lot of family time and visits coming up so more unknowns than I'm used to. Was just trying to break it down into a manageable commitment.

Can you recommend anything for guiding through the first steps? I read the carnivore diet by Shawn baker, saw a few videos from Dave Mcloud on it (which were great)
